CHANGE OF VENUE: Talk with John Foster, writer
Kushti Comics, 12 The Brooks Shopping Centre, Winchester, GBOn Sunday 11th October, during our regular Sunday morning meeting, Mr John Foster has kindly accepted an invitation to talk and take questions about his life and work and about writing in general, covering such topics as developing story ideas, dealing with editors, writing for the BBC and other institutions - and anything else we would like to ask about writing as an art and profession.
Because the South Downs Social can get a bit noisy upstairs in October, we needed to fund somewhere more suitable to meet and through Jesse’s enterprise and with David’s kind permission, we will hold the meeting at Kushti Comics, which (helpfully) is immediately opposite the Soth Downs Social. Kushti have kindly consented to open half an hour early so that we can start at our usual 10.00 am, and so it would be nice if we could say thank-you practically by buying drinks, much as we do at the South Downs.
The plan is to start as usual at 10 am with informal chat and some writing, with John Foster arriving a little later, the aim being to keep to our regular 10am - 12 am schedule, for the convenience of both regular attendees and new faces.
