For many of us, patience is a very difficult idea: I want (or need) something to be different than the way it is, but I am unable to make it happen, so I have to sit in the discomfort and wait. This week, we'll explore what patience means from the perspective of Buddhist practice, challenging usual notions of what it means to be patient, and leaning into the idea that we are always whole and complete, just as we are.
Join us each Monday evening at 6:30pm at Central Penn College, Room 204 in the ATEC building, for a weekly Buddhist meditation service as we seek to find peace in our hearts, connect with the world around us, and discover meaning during challenging times.
Each service includes a period of meditation followed by a talk and discussion on a teaching of the Buddha.
Open to all faiths and backgrounds, join us as we come together in celebration of inner peace, loving-kindness, joy, and compassion.
