Asa Hagel, Barr LLP, Partner
Asa received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Calgary in 2019, after completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2016. With the goal of advancing the interests of women in real estate, Asa is a current member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women).
Asa has focused her practice in real estate, foreclosure law, corporate and commercial law, financing and private lending. She also has experience in wills and estate administration. She is passionate about making her clients’ lives easier by being responsive and organized as well as by maintaining a professional and friendly attitude.
When Asa isn’t busy at the office, you can find her trying to improve her golf game, renovating her house, spending time with her dachshund and travelling. Before pursuing her university education, Asa was an au pair in Geneva, Switzerland.

MEET YOUR HOSTS
Zorya Belanger is the co-founder of WE Invest. A former professional engineer, she transitioned to full-time real estate investing in 2017, focusing on new-build small multifamily projects in Alberta and value-add large multifamily in Texas, with a portfolio nearing $28M in assets under management (AUM). As a mother of two, Zorya is passionate about empowering women to invest in real estate and achieve financial freedom.
Ilona Carletti is the co-founder of WE Invest. After scaling her portfolio using new preconstruction multifamily strategy, Ilona left her 15-year government career and became a full-time licensed real estate agent. A mother of two, Ilona is passionate about helping women achieve financial security through real estate investing.
