Babble Bar is an in-person gathering where locals and newcomers come together to practice the languages they’re learning, brush up on languages they already speak, and make friends from around the world.
Instead of (or in addition to) studying grammar from a textbook, come enjoy real conversations with people who are fluent in or learning the same language as you. All languages and levels are welcome, from complete beginners to native speakers!
Coming alone? Most people do. We’ll help you find others who speak or are learning your languages, and you’re free to move between conversations throughout the evening.
Bring an international snack to share, if you’d like! Food is a wonderful way to share a little piece of your culture and break the ice with new people. Please label anything containing common allergens.
We’re trying out an exciting new venue that allows the snack potluck as well as being much quieter (and thus more conducive to conversation) than the pub we’ve been meeting at for the last few years.

🕖 6-8pm (those wanting to chat longer can walk the 2 blocks to Swans after!)
💵 $5 entry per person helps us cover expenses ($2 for students & those for whom cost is a barrier)
🍹 Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase from the licensed bar
