Are you in your 20s/30s and wondering how to make friends as an adult? Did you just move to Richmond, VA (RVA) and need new friends or things to do? Have you lived in RVA for a while but still would like to diversify your circle of friends? Are you single, engaged, married, or divorced and looking to meet other like-minded friends? Do you like food, beer, wine, cooking classes, games, outdoor activities, music, or anything fun and would rather go with friends?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, this group is for you! Trying to Adult RVA is a membership-based social group. It is open to anyone 21+, of any gender, that want to make friends.

Movie Club
Les Crepes, 3325 W Cary St., Richmond, va, USWe welcome you to join us for our monthly Movie Club get-togethers. We will select one film each month and ask that you watch the movie beforehand so we can dive into thoughtful discussion together. Be prepared for spoilers!
Our movie this month is “Interstellar” directed by Christopher Nolan.

Game Night at Unplugged
Unplugged Games Cafe, 1300 Sycamore Square Dr, Midlothian, VA, USGame night! Unplugged Games Cafe is a fun spot in Richmond to eat & play. Come play social, skill, or silly games while making new friends!
They have a huge (930 to be exact) game library to choose from including board games, card games, dexterity games, and trivia. Their board game selection features nostalgic childhood & family favorites, "new classics," and brand new releases from today's top publishers.

Don't fear if you don't regularly play games. The Unplugged staff members are ready to help with set up, clean up, and everything in between. Just ask if you need help choosing a game, learning the rules, or have any other questions about how to play.
They have food available for purchase which you can purchase on your own. You will also be responsible for the cost of a daily play pass when you arrive ($8)

Pickleball FUN-damentals

Join us for Pickleball FUN-damentals, a fun and engaging event designed specifically for beginners and anyone wanting to try this exciting sport! Whether you're looking to learn the rules, develop your skills, or just find someone to play with, this event is perfect for you.
What to Expect:
- Introduction to Pickleball: Learn the basics of the game, including rules, scoring, and essential techniques.
- Beginner-Friendly Practice: Participate in easy-to-follow practice that will help you get comfortable with the game.
- Social Play: Enjoy some casual playtime with other beginners and make new friends.
- Expert Instructors: Receive guidance and tips from experienced pickleball players to improve your game.
Specials:
- Food & Drink Specials: Delight in their menu featuring delicious snacks and refreshing beverages at special prices like $5 draft beers
Ticket Includes:
- Paddle rental (or feel free to bring your own)
- Use of pickleball balls and other necessary equipment

All attendees must have TWO confirmed tickets to attend. One ($10) via PPBRVA for the event cost which can be purchased here and one (free) from the Trying to Adult RVA website to be included with our group reservation which can be claimed here.
