About us
Join us for an adventurous journey through the international flavors of Den Haag, Delft, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and nearby.
Think of this group as an adventures' guild for culinary explorers, where each event is a quest for discovering and savoring delicious food. We will create a party of 8-10 persons to complete each quest.
We encourage our members to be actively involved in our food quests. Share your favorite spots, explore new ones, and build lasting foodie companionships
However, let it be known that we uphold a strict ‘NO-SHOW’ policy. Failing to honor your commitment is akin to banishment from the guild.

The Foodie Fellowship goes to Glasgow: Chicken Tikka Masala Pilgrimage
Location not specified yetJoin The Foodie Fellowship for a possible low-budget foodie weekend trip to Glasgow, Scotland, on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August.
The main focus of the trip will be a visit to Shish Mahal, the Glasgow restaurant widely known as the birthplace of chicken tikka masala. Around this central food pilgrimage, we will explore Glasgow, try local Scottish cuisine, and enjoy a relaxed weekend with fellow food lovers.Important: this is an experimental event
This event is currently an experimental idea, not yet a fully confirmed trip.
Whether or not the trip definitively takes place depends on whether enough people sign up and genuinely commit to joining. The trip will only go ahead if we have at least 4 people committed to attending one month before the trip dates, meaning by around 15 July.Suggested plan
The details below are suggestions, not the definitive plan. Once we know who is seriously interested and committed, we will decide the final plan together as a group.
A possible version of the weekend could look like this:
Saturday- Travel from the Netherlands to Glasgow, most likely by flight
- Check into a low-budget hotel, hostel, or shared accommodation
- Explore Glasgow city centre or the West End
- Main dinner at Shish Mahal, with chicken tikka masala as the highlight of the trip
Sunday
- Breakfast or brunch in Glasgow
- Explore more of the city, such as Kelvingrove, the University of Glasgow area, Merchant City, or other local sights
- Possibly visit the Glasgow Foodies Festival
- Try traditional Scottish food, such as haggis, neeps and tatties, Cullen skink, Scottish seafood, or cranachan
- Travel back to the Netherlands in the evening
Budget
The aim is to keep this as a low-budget weekend trip. We will look for affordable flights, budget hotels or hostels, and reasonably priced food options.
Everyone will pay for their own:- Travel to and from Glasgow
- Accommodation
- Food and drinks
- Local transport
- Any optional activities
Once we have a small committed group, we can coordinate booking flights and accommodation together so that the trip remains practical and affordable.
Who should join?
This trip is for people who:- Love food and food history
- Are curious about Glasgow
- Want to try both Indian-Scottish and local Scottish cuisine
- Are open to helping shape the final plan together
- Are seriously interested in committing if the group reaches the minimum number of participants
Please RSVP only if you are genuinely interested in joining. After we see who is interested, we will discuss the details together and decide whether to go ahead.
Let’s see if we can turn this into a delicious Foodie Fellowship weekend adventure!5 attendees
