This beginner-friendly workshop focuses on the Wix Editor, making it perfect for creative entrepreneurs who want to build a professional website without learning to code.

During this interactive workshop, you'll learn the basics of:
- Choosing the right pages for your website
- Creating a simple brand guide with your colors, fonts, and imagery
- Uploading and optimizing catalog and portfolio images
- Setting up an online shop with products, pricing, shipping, sales tax, and payment processing
- Setting up online booking for appointments, classes, or services
- Writing website content and applying basic SEO so Google can find your business
- Organizing your website so visitors can easily browse and take action
Whether you're creating your very first website or refreshing one that's ready for a little magic, you'll leave with practical skills you can begin using immediately.

You're invited to bring your own laptop and follow along as we build together. Prefer to simply watch, listen, and take notes? That's perfectly welcome too. You'll leave with plenty of ideas and a clear roadmap for creating your website when you're ready. Wi-Fi access and electrical outlets will be available; however, attendees are responsible for bringing any necessary chargers or adapters and ensuring their device is in working order. Course attendees are encouraged to arrive by 5:30 to setup their workspace â class will begin promptly at 6pm to be respectful of class participants and our gracious hosts at The Ruby Tree.

In this hands-on 3-hour workshop, youâll learn the fundamentals of creating a professional Wix website that showcases your work, builds your brand, and gives you the option to sell online.
Weâll cover the essential building blocks of a successful artist website, including:
- Creating a simple, cohesive brand guide with colors and fonts
- Organizing your portfolio and showcasing your artwork
- Uploading and optimizing images for the web
- Setting up an online shop and payment processors
- Understanding the basics of writing descriptions for your art, as well as search engine optimization (SEO) fundamentals
- Best practices for creating a website that is easy to navigate and simple to maintain
Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop and follow along as we build together, but youâre equally welcome to attend as an observer, taking notes and applying the lessons later at your own pace. If you already have a Wix website, this is a great opportunity to refine your work. If you donât already have a Wix website, this workshop will help you take the first steps.
Class size is limited to 10 students to ensure everyone receives individual attention and to accommodate those working on laptops during class. Early registration is highly recommended.
