Like dressing pretty and going out? Feeling anxious to get out of those sweatpants occasionally, and don your favorite frock? This group leans towards the millennial (though (younger) X and (older) Z welcome (21+)) looking to dress pretty, make friends and go out. Let’s get brunch or dinner, attend an event, or go to a museum. Let’s hear a chorus of “I love your dress” with a reply of “Thanks, it has pockets!” Welcome to The Pretty Committee!

Events to take place at various Metro Detroit locations. “Suggested dress code” of events are only suggestions based on event type.
Required Meetup Policy: Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to events.
Group Rules:
(1) Must be 21 years or older. This group caters to millennials (24-40), but young Gen X and older Gen Z welcome.
(2) The goal is to make this group safe: no homophobia/transphobia, racism, ableism, fatphobia, misogyny, classism, etc. Utilize safe behaviors and do not harass, threaten, or be violent to other members.
(3) Do not use this group to sell products or advertise.
(4) This is not a singles-seeking-singles group. Do not use this group for the purpose of dating as this may make members uncomfortable.
(5) Update RSVPs within an appropriate amount of time.

Saturday Lunch in Narnia

* Note: there will most likely be a daily specials menu that will be on the tableThe Igloo is reserved for 2 hours for 10 members. The maximum amount of people for this is 10 with a waitlist. Separate checks have been requested but there is no guarantee that this will happen so plan accordingly.
Please make sure to keep your RSVP up-to-date. This is the first time that we have tried an Igloo dinning event.
Requirements for igloo dinning, per White Horse Inn:
- There is a $150 minimum food and beverage purchase required. Gratuity is not included in minimum.
- 10 guest maximum; parties over 10 guests will be denied entry.
- Strict 2-hour reservation. We reserve 15 minutes of your 2-hour reservation to prepare the igloo.
- Cancellations must be made via phone at least 48 hours before reservation time. No show or failure to cancel without 48-hours notice will result in a $200 fee.
- We reserve the right to cancel your reservation due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
- This reservation is for the outdoor igloos only, and it cannot be transferred to indoor seating.
- Multiple bookings made to hold extra spaces will not be accepted and will result in overall cancellation.
-There is a non-refundable $10 online booking fee.Please keep your RSVP up-to-date as there is a booking fee for this lunch. If you are on the Waitlist, please update your RSVP to “Not Going” as soon possible if your availability changes or you’re unable to be on standby if an attendee drops out by or after 3/18/2026. Please contact the Event Organizer with any pertinent updates after the cutoff date. Failure to do so may result in a warning and possible suspension/removal from the group after 3 infractions. Membership will also be evaluated if members consistently RSVP but later cancel (even within the appropriate amount of time).
- Waitlist Note: Often spots open up for the event the week leading up to the event, so even if an event is full, if you add yourself to the Waitlist, it is highly likely you will have a chance to attend.

5th Annual Jane Austen Regency Ball - before Ball DINNER Optional
The Toledo Club, 235 14th Street, Toledo, OH, USThis event is for any Regency Ball Attendees who do not want to eat the regency food. The planned menu is listed on the ticket website. The last 2 years the food has been okay; not great but okay. This year, we are adding the option of going to a restaurant before the ball as a group. Please note: you are still able to buy dinner tickets and eat the food at the ball. Sign up for this event if you want to eat as a group before the ball and not at the ball eating regency food.
Join The Pretty Committee for a pre-regency ball dinner at location TBD - Carolina will determine closer to the date.We will either meet at the restaurant or Lyft/Uber from the hotel (5th Annual Ball Event post) and then Lyft/Uber to the Toledo Club before the ball starts. Ball is scheduled to start at 8pm.
