Chihuly Collection & Morean Art Center, St. Petersburg
I will be at the Chihuly site inside near the entrance to meet people at 12pm, but it opens at 10 am, if you want to come early. This is probably a few hours meetup, as the Morean Art Center will have glass-making demonstrations to see. Also the interior spaces of the Morean museum will be open, as well. This Meetup will have the 2 museums to see, the glass-making demo, and a free trolley to the Clay Center. And if you like to have some late afternoon places to visit, the Pier will also be open through using the free trolley. This is a marvelous site to photograph, to watch the demonstration, and to partake of the Chihuly Collection of amazing glass art sculptures. Morean Glass Demonstrations: Monday-Saturday: 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm. The glass demo will show how glass sculptures are created, and how tweaks render them to different shapes and styles. A long telephoto lens will work for this, if you want to zoom in on the glass-making. A camera with a normal lens is good for individual subjects; but depending on your fancy, a zoom is good for capturing parts of large subjects.

Venice Audubon Rookery (at Sheriff's off Rt. 776 or gov't building off Rt 41)
Venice Audubon Center, 4002 S Tamiami Trail via Annex Rd., Venice, FL, USThis is a location that has many different types of birds and their chicks, still in the nests. And in the evening, there are Bathouses which release the bats to forage for their dinner. There is free parking; a covered pavilion to rest, eat, or visit; Audubon docents who discuss the habits of the birds; and a wonderful place to study nature. There are lanes to wander around the pond, Purple Martin houses, and plenty of people with their phones or cameras to photograph the nesting birds. A great place to meet friends... Bring your long lens camera, or a phone that can be zoomed in. Chicks should be photographed at 400-600mm or equivalent. For more information about the venue, see: https://veniceaudubon.org/rookery
