Some of you may already be familiar with her wonderful work through her website and blog, teaformeplease.com. She has graciously agreed to visit us to: • Discuss her book and the inspiration behind her recipes. • Share her expertise on tea culture and education. • Answer your questions about all things tea! This is a rare and wonderful opportunity to chat directly with an expert and learn more about the art of the perfect brew. How to Prepare
This March, the Tea & Tales Book Club invites you to step into the role of a historical detective. Our "March Dossier" focuses on the haunting and meticulous investigative work found in Buried Secrets: Looking for Frank and Ida. We are not merely reading a memoir; we are reconstructing a lost lineage. To guide us through this labyrinth of archives, telegrams, and memory, we are honored to host a Special Author Event with Anne Hanson. This session will transcend a typical book discussion, offering a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to reclaim a family history that was nearly erased by the tides of the 20th century.
We are privileged to welcome Anne Hanson, whose expertise in narrative non-fiction and historical research brings a unique depth to this discussion. Anne will share her process of "unearthing" secrets, the ethical dilemmas of writing about the deceased, and the moments of serendipity that occur when a researcher refuses to give up. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Live Q&A, where Anne will answer questions about her research methods, the emotional toll of historical discovery, and the specific challenges of the Frank and Ida case.
Join us for a thoughtful afternoon at the Plume House Inn as we gather to discuss Lisa Ridzén’s poignant debut novel, When the Cranes Fly South.
You will need to call ahead and RSVP here first, then through the owner, Kay Lammy. Not through meetup or myself. Please call Plume House Inn.
Unleash your inner alchemist in our Tea Blending Class. Guided by the boutique’s experts, you’ll explore a library of dried botanicals, herbs, and premium leaves. Learn the properties of each ingredient as you craft a signature tin of tea to take home—a blend that is uniquely yours.
Forget everything you know about standard bingo. In this mystical twist, we’ll be using the symbols and archetypes of the Tarot to fill our cards. It’s a fast-paced, high-vibe game where the "luck of the draw" takes on a whole new meaning. Expect prizes, laughter, and maybe a little insight from the universe.
Space is limited for this boutique experience to ensure everyone has a hands-on seat at the blending table. Grab your spot and let’s see what the leaves (and the cards) have in store for us!
