About us
Good People • Good Times • Good Vibes
A fun, laid-back social group for meeting new people, trying new things, and having a good time! We’re friendly and inclusive, with events throughout Chicago’s northwest suburbs, including Mount Prospect, Schaumburg, Palatine, Arlington Heights, and beyond.
We get together for trivia, game nights, outings, mini-golf, concerts, brunches, museums, live music, karaoke, line dancing, festivals, happy hours, book clubs, mall walks, nature hikes, and whatever other shenanigans sound fun.
Sometimes we’re exploring the suburbs or turning a simple lunch into an all-day hangout. Whatever we’re doing, we love connecting with each other while having a blast! 😄
Our friendly, welcoming atmosphere is something we create together. Members and guests are expected to mingle, participate, and make an effort to get to know others. We understand that your first event or two may feel a little nerve-racking, but our organizers and regular members will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at ease.
If you bring a guest, please join in with the group rather than sitting apart as a pair. Everyone has a part in making people feel welcome and keeping the good energy going.
Suburban Shenanigans is a socially progressive and inclusive group that welcomes people of all races, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities. If you strongly support Donald Trump or MAGA politics, this probably is not the right group for you.
Please note: This is a social friendship group—not a singles or dating group. Friendships and connections may naturally develop, but members may not attend events primarily to pursue women, corner female members, monopolize someone’s attention, or engage in persistent flirting when the interest is not clearly mutual. Everyone is expected to mingle respectfully and help maintain a comfortable group atmosphere. Members whose behavior makes others uncomfortable or disrupts the group dynamic may be removed.
Come join the shenanigans! 🎲🎤🔥
