About us
Welcome to Startup Oasis
Startup Oasis is a startup hackathon community (startup founders bring in their startup to pitch, then they get a breakout room and you can then work with them like a hackathon). This community is for startup founders, developers, investors, marketers, and anyone else in the startup ecosystem that wants to start a business, help a founder, or join a business.

We meet in person and virtually on a regular basis. Each event is the same format:
We start with the introduction of the process at the beginning.
Founders sign up to pitch their businesses, then the event functions like a pitch competition - except no judges, no winners, nor lengthy feedback. The goal is to get everyone into breakout groups as soon as possible. During the pitches, the founders tell us their biggest needs. After the last pitch, the hackathon starts.
Developers, UX Designers, and others choose which startup to learn more about or join. Founders get their own breakout groups. The Devs and designers can help the founders based on their needs. You can move between groups and talk about strategies and tactics. People have been able to start a business as a result of these hackathons!

If you are a startup founder, investor, developer, marketer, or anyone else in the tech ecosystem looking to start, join, or help a tech startup, this event is for you! Founders pitch their startups to the attendees; then, you can join a breakout room/area (that we curate) to talk to the founders, ask questions, and give feedback. People have been able to start a business as a result of this process. You are welcome to just watch as well.

Schedule for the Day:
- 5:00 🚪 - Doors open for networking. Sign up at the check-in table if you want to pitch your startup
- 6:00 🎤 Founders pitch
- 6:30💡- Founders break off into break-out groups, and attendees can move around and help one for the remainder of the time
- 7:30 🥂 - Happy hour offsite
The audience will vote on a winner after the last pitch, who will be eligible to compete in the championship at the end of the year.

FAQ:
Is this event free to attend? Yes - Startup Oasis will always be free for anyone to attend. If you would like to donate, you can buy a VIP ticket, and it will be appreciated! You can also talk to us about volunteer and sponsorship opportunities.
Am I eligible to pitch? You must be the founder or on the leadership team of a technology-based startup to be eligible to pitch. You can be early stage (pre-funding, pre-revenue, or pre-MVP) up to series A. Consultants, firms, and agencies cannot pitch their services - please join a breakout to speak with the founders.
How do I sign up to pitch? RSVP here and sign up on the list at the check-in desk on the day of the event. That will also determine the order. You can also buy a VIP ticket to support our cause and guarantee you a spot to pitch.
What happens after the pitches? The breakout groups form for the remainder of the event. Each founder gets a breakout room and you can talk with them more there about their business and needs.
