About us
Meet others interested in meditation near you! Learn how to meditate or deepen your current meditation practice. Our weekly meetings are on a drop in basis and we have a really nice group of people attending regularly. Please check out our message board to see our meditation topics in previous weeks.
A trademark of the meditations we emphasize is the ease in which they can be used both “on the cushion” and in our daily lives. Each meeting will include practical, guided meditation, and a talk on how to reduce stress and other problems encountered in daily life and how to increase mental and physical well-being. There will also be plenty of time to discuss the ideas presented.
Although the meditations and talks are based on Kadampa Buddhist philosophy, you don't need to be a Buddhist to enjoy this group. Kadampa Buddhism stresses a spiritual path of individual transformation and to look within ourselves for the inner peace and happiness we seek. Everyone is welcome!
These group meetings are based out of Kadampa Meditation Center New York, located in Glen Spey, NY. For more information visit http://www.kadampanewyork.org
We hope to meet you soon!

Buddhist Meditation Class - Topic: Overcoming Loneliness and Isolation
Sparta Ambulance Building, 14 Sparta Ave N, Sparta Township, NJ, US## Current Series – Living a Life of Kindness and Interconnection
February 10 – March 17
Choose to see kindness and live through a lens of gratitude. We can decide what mindset we bring to our world. If we bring a pessimistic or cynical mindset, we will see a negative, unhappy world around us. If we bring a positive mind, we will see a positive world.Through this series, we will dive into an experiential taste of meditation on interconnection. In this practice, we learn to see ourselves as like a cell in the vast body of life, distinct yet intimately bound up with all living beings. We start to see ourselves in a web of kindness! By training like this, we will find a beautiful state of mind of love, and this will reflect back a beautiful world for both ourselves and others. Everyone is welcome!
