What we’re about
Know Thyself! Welcome all lovers of wisdom.
The goal of the Socratic Club is to bring together people from all different walks of life who are interested in discussing works of philosophy, theology, and literature by the greatest minds of history.
We are a diverse group of men and women who are intellectually sharp, open minded, and willing to learn and engage in dialogue on the path of wisdom.
Our meetings are two hours long the second Wednesday of each month.
We love to see new faces: please feel free to send us a message or drop in for a meeting.

The Abolition of Man: C. S. Lewis on Education
Panera Bread, 779 S Federal Hwy, Deerfield Beach, FL, USI hope the holidays went well for everyone! I look forward to seeing everyone in the new year. I apologize for the late posting of this group. I enjoyed the lively conversation last group with Nietzsche. Education, technology, ethics, ontology, human nature, and how to live a good life are inexorably on my mind as of late.
Let's continue to discuss ethics, virtue, and education with a turn to the winsome and beloved C. S. Lewis. We will be reading The Abolition of Man. You can buy it online or fine the free PDF below
