About us
This group is for lovers of Korean dramas and other Asian TV, movies, music (K-Pop!), books, food and culture. Since Evelyn Angry-Smith founded this group in early 2015, we’ve enjoyed movie nights, K-Drama premieres, holiday parties and NYC trips. We also explored restaurants in CT, NY and MA.
In 2020 we went virtual due to the pandemic. We hope to restart in-person Meetups if possible in 2021, and we’ll continue virtual Meetups since many of us don’t live near CT.

Let’s take our K‑drama energy on the road! We’re heading to Northampton, MA for a day of exploring one of New England’s most eclectic, artsy, and culturally diverse towns.
We’ll wander through novelty shops, indie boutiques, and quirky bookstores — the kind of places where you always find something you didn’t know you needed. Northampton’s vibrant mix of cultures makes it a perfect backdrop for a fun summer outing.
For lunch, we’ll stop at Noodles Restaurant, a highly-reviewed Thai restaurant with authentic flavors.Schedule (all locations are in Northampton)
- Park at E.J. Gare Parking Garage at 44 Kirland Ave or a nearby parking lot (See the downtown Northampton parking map linked to this Meetup post for more parking info.)
- Meet between 10:30 and 11:00am at the nearby Woodstar Café at 60 Masonic St. just behind Main St.
- Explore downtown + shopping. Unique shopping spots include: Thornes Marketplace, Pinch, Spill the Tea Sis Apothecary & more!
- Lunch at Noodles Restaurant
- More wandering and, perhaps, dessert…
Come enjoy good food, good company, and a day full of discoveries!
