What we’re about
This is a a group for people who live and work In NY and the surrounding area, but who recognize we are in one of the greatest metropolitan areas in the world. It's for people who are creatures of the city, with all its diversity, possibilities, opportunities, and excitement. To be sure, we will make excursions into the city--and that includes Queens and Brooklyn as well as Manhattan...and let's not forget the Bronx and Staten Island as well. However, we will get together here on Long Island too, in the interest of promoting convenience and encouraging inclusion by people whose budgets may not allow them to take trips to the city as frequently as they'd like. The point of this group is as much to allow meeting, forming friendships, and having fellowship with others whose hearts belong in the city, as it is to take trips into the city for all that it offers.
Some of the event types we offer are :Museums, speed dating, bowling, pool, golf, bingo, shows, rock climbing, mingles and more.
This group is not for pick-up or seduction techniques, or wingman tactics.

Want to meet new people (and maybe that special someone) in a unique setting? Looking to get some fresh air, a little exercise and enjoy some beautiful views? Then we have the perfect event for you!
Join fun and friendly singles for a sunset stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge. Our "Date Walks" are very casual and non-awkward way to meet others. Your host will be there to make introductions and will have everyone rotate, asking the men and women to switch so everyone gets a chance to talk with everyone.
We will first meet at a Starbucks where you can grab a drink for your walk. Then we'll walk a 1.5-2 mile stretch to the Brooklyn Bridge Park to NYC. We will also hang afterwards in a nearby area.

How many will attend? We limit the # of attendees to 30 so that everyone has enough time to get to know each other.What are the ages? We'll have a good mix of ages and everyone usually finds others in their age group.
What if rains? We will email attendees a new date.
Can I come alone? Yes, about 90% come on their own.
How much? $15-$25 depending upon when you get ticket and # of spots left.

Show time is 7 and we meet at 615 for some introductions. This is a great relaxed event where you can laugh your ass off, and make some new friends, and maybe more. TWO DRINK/ITEM MINIMUM AT THE CLUB during the show.

Finally a party where you will see others your age who are interested in the same things as you before you even say a word! Make new friends (40s and over) from several different social groups for this unique and fun ways to connect.
How it works:
- We will have 6 different colored tags at the check in table. Each bracelet represents something that you are interested in (Green=outdoor activities, Red=singles events, Blue=arts/culture, Yellow=travel, etc.)
- You'll choose up to 3 colors that best represent things that interest you.
- When you walk into the room you will immediately see others who share the same interests as you (starting conversation could not be easier).
- We will also have several rounds of ice breakers that will connect you in even more ways.

How many members will attend? This is a multi-Meetup group event. This page only shows a small portion of the actual attendees. Based on other RSVPs and members who have already prepaid, we will have a good # of members attending!Can I come alone? Yes, about 80% attend on their own.
How should I dress? Dress to impress. Men need to wear collared shirt and shoes. No sweats, hats, jeans, sneakers etc.
Cost? Limited # of tickets available for $19. Price will go up to $25 as event gets closer. No tix sold at door.
