Get outside with the Sierra Club Ventana Chapter! We offer fun and inspiring outdoor events like guided hikes, kayak tours, and camping trips, all led by experienced volunteers. As a conservation group, we're dedicated to both enjoying and protecting the environment. Everyone is welcome to participate – no membership required!

For this weeks hike I was thinking we need to avoid Highway 1 at all costs thanks to car week.
Fort Ord is a great place to get away from it all. The National Monument has incredible views, trees, ponds, wildlife and wide open spaces.
The loop is about 7.2 miles with 958 feet of elevation. There are multiple trails back if you want a shorter trip. It should take about 3 hours.
We will meet at the picnic table on west side of Creekside Terrace Trailhead parking lot.
