What weβre about
This group is for outdoor and nature enthusiasts! :)
We offer free outdoor events (typically hikes / walks, but also bike rides, etc) in the Peak District national park and Sheffield surrounding area.
Our events are a great opportunity to stay healthy and active (physically and mentally), connect with other people, spend time in the nature and view beautiful sceneries.
Everyone is welcome to join our outdoor adventures group.
Our walks typically last a full day. There is no climbing involved, but occasionally our walks can include an easy scramble.
Each walk is lead by people that know the area well. For every event the route is shared in advance (with a GPX file and aΒ KomootΒ link).
Important information:
Anyone joining our events is responsible for their safety and health (including guests). The group does not have any insurance policy covering injuries. If you RSVP to our events, you must agree to these conditions.
If you have any questions, please contact the event organiser and/or write a message in the comments section of the event.

Peak District walk: The Dragon's Back (12 miles)
Hurdlow Car Park, Tagg Ln, Hurdlow, Buxton, SK17 9QJ, Buxton, GBThe Dragon's Back is a thrilling walk that feels like a true adventure. The route follows two striking hills β Parkhouse Hill and Chrome Hill β whose ridgeline rises and falls like a dragon's spine. With steep climbs, rocky descents, and breathtaking views across valleys and moorlands, it's one of the Peak District's most dramatic trails. In December, the ground can be frosty or slippery, adding an extra challenge β but also a touch of winter magic to the landscape. It's a demanding route, yet the reward is unforgettable scenery and the satisfaction of conquering a truly iconic walk.
