Hiking Event Liability Waiver and Release
Voluntary Participation, Scope, and Deemed Acceptance: This release applies to all participants, including members and their invited guests (collectively, "Participants"). I, the undersigned Participant, acknowledge that I am voluntarily joining this hiking group organized through Meetup.com. By attending, participating in, or otherwise joining this event, Participants acknowledge and agree that this action constitutes an equivalent to physically signing this Liability Release and Waiver. I understand that hiking is an activity with inherent risks, including but not limited to, falls, terrain hazards, extreme weather, dehydration, wildlife encounters, and equipment failure, all of which may lead to injury, property damage, or death.
Waiver and Release of Liability: Knowing these risks, I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all losses, damages, or injuries that may occur during the event. I hereby waive, release, and discharge the Host(s), its organizers, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from my participation, including claims based on the Host’s negligence. I certify that I am physically fit for this activity and agree to abide by all rules and instructions.
