Who's in for Friday night karaoke at Broadway at the Beach??? 🪩🎵🕺🏽💃🏻

I was just at Voodoo Brewing Co a couple days ago and they've got a sign up for karaoke that starts at 7 pm. It's also on their website! Seems like a very good chance that it's all our dreams come true 😆 and if not, they have great food and beer if you're into that kinda thing 😜

ℹ️ I'll be there around 6:30 to try and get us a good spot. If you can come early, that would be helpful to reserve space cause I have no clue how popular it is.

✨ How fun would it be to be dressed as our rockstar/performer alter ego?? Dress up, dress down for the stage! Or come as you are, it's all totally optional 😊

💟 It's probably not the best event for our more introverted friends, but if you're feeling courageous and just need a little support - message me and together we'll figure out how to make you more comfortable meeting strangers from the interwebs. Often these two are so intertwined that it becomes like a cancer - the surrounding 'tissue' of religion makes it impossible to remove/change the policy position without removing parts of the religion too.

For those of us without a religion (or recently left one), we can freely adjust our views on policy without adhering to dogma. We can make these decisions based on facts and sound arguments - not feelings or religious doctrine. Still, our views can be colored by our own 'code' - similar to that of a believer whose 'code' comes from their belief.

Are policy positions justified if they are guided by a belief in a god? Are we as non-believers doing the same if our positions are guided by a lack of belief? Can there ever truly be a separation of religion (church) and politics (state)?

Since we're meeting at peak brunch times AND this place is super popular, I'm closing RSVP's a week in advance so I can make reservations with a proper headcount. (RSVPs close on Saturday, August 30th at 1 pm; the brunch event itself is on the following Saturday at the same time)

🚗 if I remember correctly, parking right by the restaurant can get crowded but it shares the same lot as a big grocery store
