What we’re about
This group is for people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are looking to be more social and get out for fun adventures. Being in your 20s, 30s, or 40s is the only requirement. I get messages from folks outside that range, and my reply back is that there are other social groups on this site for your age range. The only other requirement for this group is that you are respectful to everyone in the group. We have a fun, relaxed, and respectful energy in this group, which I would really love to keep, so if I learn that you are disrespecting other members of the group, you won't be welcomed back. We're all adults.
In this group we meet once or twice a month for a fun activity usually around the New Hampshire, Maine, or Mass seacoast area. Here are some of the kinds of things we do: trivia, kayaking, hiking, going to concerts, tubing, bowling, arcades, beach days, festivals, and more. The goal with this group is to meet some new friends who are also in their 20s, 30s, and 40s and to have some fun. If you have an idea for an activity you'd like to do, let me know!
RSVP Rules: For events that have a limited number of RSVPs, if you RSVP that you are going and the event happens and you were a no-show for two different meetups events, you will get the boot from the group. Also, if you RSVP and cancel the day of the Meetup event three different times, you will get the boot. Not updating your RSVP or canceling the day of the event prevents others from coming, and it messes up the reservations. I've seen how other Meetup groups handle this, and I asked some of you, and we agreed that this seems fair. Last minute stuff happens--we all get that, but this is to prevent chronic no-shows and chronic last-minute dropouts.
AS A CONDITION OF ATTENDING ANY OF THIS GROUP'S MEETUPS, YOU AGREE TO: Hold harmless and indemnify the organizers and their relations and heirs, and all members and participants of the Meetup group from any and all claims for injury, illness, death, and/or property damage including those caused by negligence, ignorance, inexperience, and other reasons. You also agree to assume all mental, physical, financial, and/or other risk associated with any of this group's meetups. Activities of these meetups pose inherent risks and dangers. Participation in these activities is voluntary and dependent upon your own personal judgement. As organizers, we make no claims regarding any expertise for these outings. These meetups are not guided tours. Participation by you or your guests is completely voluntary and you are liable for your own actions and the actions of your guests.

See all- The Deerfield Fair in Deerfield, NHhttp://www.deerfieldfair.com/fair-information.html, Deerfield, NH
Let's go to The Deerfield Fair! I haven't been to this fair since I was a kid, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it probably hasn't changed all that much. Safe to assume there will be carnival rides, loads of farm animals, tractors, carnival games run by carnies, shows, fried food, hay all over the place... It's an experience, and it will undoubtedly spark some childhood nostalgia. If you haven't met any rural New Hampshire folk yet, you will this day, bub. Personally, I'm in it for the people watching, farm animals, and the fried dough. 🙌 This one was a Dana suggestion.
VIP: Buy your ticket FIRST, and then RSVP to this event ***
I bought my ticket for $10.34. I think the price goes up a little closer to the fair date.
Park in a free parking lot, and we will meet at 4 pm at the massive flagpole (on map). You can see it on the map that I put in the photos of this event. I will update the page when I am there.
I am opening this up to a bigger group than usual since it's a big event. If people want to meet up with the group and then split off, that's fine, you do you, boo. I've learned that these kind of events are a bit of a choose your own adventure for your guys, but it's nice to have an initial group at first, and then we can just break off so you and your crew can roam to wherever your hearts desire.
You can buy your ticket (discounted online) and the ticket is good for the weekend. Link: Deerfield Fair Tickets and Info
If the weather is going to be really stormy and bad, we can bump this event to the same time the next day--the ticket will be good for either day. I will let you all know likely two days before, and I will update the page if we change the date.
Message me with questions or concerns.
Hope to see you there at the fair!
