Welcome to the Samsara Yoga Studio Meetup! Our group focuses on connecting to one's self and community through yoga, self-care, meditation, and creative expression.
We offer a variety of classes including Kripalu Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Pre-natal Yoga, Yoga Nidra and other meditation sessions. We host a variety of monthly workshops and events including Kirtan, Mala Necklace Making, Sound Baths, Reiki Restorative, Origami for Mindfulness and more!
Our intentions is to empower creativity, and cultivate self-love and empowerment. Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, we welcome you join us in a supportive and nurturing environment. Let's come together to heal, grow, and connect on our spiritual journeys.

Yoga Nidra Workshop

This session balances gentle movement with guided meditation, easing you out of the day’s “go mode” and into a restful, recovery-focused state.

Herbal Medicine Making Course
Location not specified yetIn this six month course, you will learn how to make herbal teas, tinctures, vinegars, oils and salves, honeys, and glycerites.
Students will make their own in class during monthly 2 hour in-person sessions.
Nicole will help you identify and source quality dried herbs, reference materials, and how to go deeper in your understanding of the properties of herbs.
In addition to the 2 hour monthly in-classroom sessions, there will be additional monthly 1 hour sessions, when the class will go to Farm Pond and see what's growing nearby. Nicole will help you identify the wild herbs growing there and talk about how to ethically gather herbs from nature.
Syllabus
May 31st: Making herbal medicine using water: teas, decoctions, poultices and fomentations. Exploring our “why.” Safety and sourcing. Choosing an herbal companion to research.June 28th: Using alcohol to make effective tinctures. When and why tinctures are used. Beginning your Materia Medica.
July 26th: Making herbal vinegars and oxymels: fire cider and beyond. Exploring more ways to bring herbs into your life, and experimenting safely.
August 30th: Oil based medicine part I: oils and salves. Herbal vocabulary and the ways we describe plants.
September 27th: Oil based medicine part II: lip balms and creams. How to choose and use herbal reference books and the internet for research. What makes something worth adding to your library and how to find accurate info on the web.
October 25th: Sugar based medicine: Honey/Syrups/Glycerin. Next steps on your journey: reflecting on what you’ve learned and ideas for the future.
Cost: $695 includes all six in-class workshops, field trips to Farm Pond, and all supplies to create your own herbal medicines.
