About us
Welcome to the Southern Oregon Camino Pilgrims!
We are a local chapter of American Pilgrims on the Camino—a community of people who have walked one or more routes of the Camino de Santiago, as well as those who are dreaming of taking their first steps.
Our mission is to support and encourage anyone interested in the Camino. We offer informational sessions to help you prepare, lead training hikes and walks throughout the year, and host social gatherings where aspiring and veteran pilgrims can connect.
If you’ve already completed a Camino, we warmly invite you to join us and share your stories, wisdom, and experience with those preparing for their own journey.

Roxy Ann Sunset Hike
Prescott/Roxy Ann Park, Roxy Ann Rd, Medford, OR, USJoin us for an evening hike at Roxy Ann to enjoy the sunset and panoramic views of the Rogue Valley.
We'll meet at the large Upper Parking Lot and decide on our exact route before we head out. Please arrive on time - the sunset won't wait! We also need to leave the parking area by 9:00 PM, so we'll be starting promptly.
Don't worry about the heat - I have been up at Roxy Ann several times over the past couple of weeks at this time of day, and it has been very pleasant. We’ll also be able to stay in the shade for most of the hike.
Distance: Approximately 3 - 4 miles
Don't forget to bring water
Porta-potty toilets are available at the parking lot.
Due to insurance concerns dogs or other pets are not permitted at chapter events, including hikes and walks
Please note that Prescott Park/Roxy Ann is subject to close during Red Flag Warnings due to fire danger. I'll keep an eye on conditions and will cancel the hike if the park closes.

High Lakes Trail Hike
Lake of the Woods Resort, 14700 West Hwy 140, Klamath Falls, OR, USWe will meet at the High Lakes Trail West Access
Follow this Google Maps link. Don't go to Lake of the Woods ResortThis hike will have a couple of options.
We will start by walking to Lake of the Woods Resort (about 2.5 miles)where we can have brunch before heading back to the parking lot.Those who'd like a longer hike will continue along the trail toward Fish Lake and turn around whenever you've reached your preferred distance. The trail is well-maintained and easy to follow.
Mosquito/tick repellent is recommended!Don’t forget to bring water, and a snack if you want one.

Tertulia - A Casual Gathering at Long Walk Vineyard
Long Walk Vineyard, 1800 N. Valley View Road, Ashland, OR, USA tertulia is a Spanish tradition—an informal gathering to share conversation and connection. We’d love for you to join us for an afternoon with fellow pilgrims, both past and future, to swap stories, ask questions, and enjoy good company.
Long Walk Vineyard offers wine and other beverages, along with cheese and charcuterie boards. Come to reminisce, to learn, or simply to enjoy a relaxed afternoon together in a beautiful setting. Long Walk Vineyard is extra special because owners Kathy and Tim O’Leary are also fellow pilgrims!
