About us
This group is for people in Oslo who want to meet new people in an easy, fun way.
You can find our socials here: https://linktr.ee/martiniskovli
We usually host small, structured social events where it’s simple to start conversations and get to know others, even if you are completely new to the city and such events, this is very low barrier to entry!
This is also a good way of expanding your social network.
Most events are:
- Small groups (so it doesn’t feel overwhelming)
- Guided to make interaction natural
- Focused on actually connecting, not just showing up
joining alone is completely normal.

Bodyweight workout in Oslo
Outdoor Fitness Downtown / Port, Filipstadveien 3, 0250, Oslo, NOYour future self is going to thank you for actually going exercising, let's also make it a place to connect with people!
WHAT HAPPENS
We meet at the bars and warm up together for around ten minutes. Then we work through push, pull and legs across the weeks, so one session is pushing, the next is pulling, then legs, and sometimes two of them together. The host along with the group decides on the day.
Everyone does their own level of the same thing. Say it is a pull session. Never done a pull-up? You work on hanging, then on holding yourself at the top, then on the slow lower down from a jump. Already do ten? You can adapt the exercise, the host will try to help with all this.
Hopefully you can feel you get better over time! Doing it with others can be a strong motivator to actually go through with the exercise.
There are no obligations for what to do. If you would rather do your own workout next to us for an hour, that is completely fine too.
AFTERWARDS
We go swimming (or some other activity), for whoever wants to. Skipping is completely fine too. But for many it is half the reason to come, people talk properly once they have been training next to each other for an hour.
WHEN AND WHERE
Every Sunday, 13:00 to 14:30, at the outdoor gym at Filipstadveien 3, right down by the water.
Look for the dark bars on the red rubber ground, with the boats on one side and a big painted mural on the wall beside them. Somebody turned up at the wrong spot recently, so please use the map pin on this event rather than the address on its own.
Here it is on Google Maps
https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=59.909321,10.721612You can arrive a bit late or leave early if you need to, but try to be there near the start so we warm up together.
WHAT TO BRING
Clothes and shoes you can move in, and a water bottle. The host will try to bring some water to share, but bring your own too. Thin gloves if the bars feel rough on your hands, though most people are fine without.
If you want to swim afterwards, bring swimwear and a towel.
WHAT IT COSTS
Free. It is a public park and we are just people training in it. There are usually people doing other interesting stuff there and on the grass next to it as well.
SOMETHING TO BE AWARE OF
The host will likely not be a certified personal trainer. They will gladly show you how a movement works and what to try next, but this is people training together and helping each other, not coaching.
Outdoor training is at your own risk, so listen to your body and skip anything that does not feel right. If you have an injury, or you are unsure about something health related, ask someone qualified first.
If the weather is genuinely bad, we might cancel, and it will be posted in the comments as soon as possible.
We speak English and Norwegian, whichever suits whoever turns up, though some hosts might not know Norwegian.
RSVP
Say if you are coming so we know roughly how many to expect. You can read everything and RSVP right on the page on our website:

Come alone if you want, most people do. And if you have never touched a pull-up bar in your life, then you are warmly welcomed.

Monday social board-game evening
No Stress Strøget, Torggata 11, Oslo, NOJust come as you are, sit down with the group, play a board game or just chat, and meet other nice attendees. This is a social event first and foremost.
WHAT HAPPENS
We'll split into smaller tables depending on what people want to play, how long the games take, and the general mood of the evening.
The venue provides games for us, and they already have a good selection. If there is enough interest in specific new games or expansions, the venue may also consider getting them for future events. You're still very welcome to bring a board game or card game you like, so we have more to choose from.
No experience is needed. We explain the rules as we go. I will also try my best to understand them myself first, then explain them, haha.
WHO'S WELCOME
Locals, newcomers, internationals, and anyone who likes games, wants to meet people in Oslo, or just wants a relaxed evening with others.
We'll likely speak a mix of English and Norwegian.
WHEN AND WHERE
Every Monday, 18:00–22:00, at No Stress at Strøget, Torggata 11, 0181 Oslo. Near Café Sør, in the alley with the letters "Strøget" above it.
You can arrive whenever you want during the evening and leave whenever suits you. There is no need to be there at the start or stay until the end. We keep a shorter game or an open seat available so people can join later.
We have our own space at the venue. When you enter No Stress, go to the left, then look for the area on the left side of the room with curtains. There is no sign up yet, so just head for the curtain area, and if you are unsure, ask the bar where the board-game meetup is.
WHAT TO BRING
Nothing required.
Optional:- a board game or card game you like
- money/card for your own drinks or snacks
- an open mood and willingness to include people
- patience, not everyone is a board game genius like some of you probably are
WHAT IT COSTS
This event is free. Everyone covers their own tab at the venue, such as drinks or snacks.
There is usually a discount on drinks and similar from the venue during the event, so ask at the bar.
ONE THING THAT HELPS US A LOT
When you buy something at the bar, say you're from Room for More.
That's it. It takes two seconds, and it's how the venue can see what we actually bring them. We're working something out with No Stress at the moment, and everything we build with them from here rests on those numbers.
SOMETHING TO BE AWARE OF
The minimum age follows the venue's rules.
RSVP
Please keep your RSVP accurate so I can plan the table size and avoid taking too much or too little space. We have a dedicated space, which makes things easier, but accurate RSVPs still help a lot with planning.
The event has its own page on the website, where you can read everything and RSVP right on the page:
