About us
Are you working with psychedelics for healing, creativity, and/or spiritual progress?
Learn yogic methods to support these goals!
The time-honored techniques of yoga -- for building and balancing energy, for uniting the breath and mind, for transforming difficult experiences -- are ideal for psychedelic work. We have been developing and refining these methods for specific psychedelic states, and we want to share our insights and discoveries!
There will be live gatherings in the NYC area and online events. Everyone is invited to contribute their knowledge and experiences, to help grow psychedelic yoga into a practice that benefits as many folks as possible and the community.
No experience with yoga is necessary, just curiosity and an open mind! No experience with psychedelics is necessary, as these methods are beneficial without substances!

Cultivating Conscious Relationship with Cannabis
85 Suydam Street, 85 Suydam St, Brooklyn, NY 11221, USA, Brooklyn, NY, USCultivating Conscious Relationship with Cannabis
Wednesday, September 30, 6:30–9:00pm
The Emerald Dispensary – 85 Suydam St, Bushwick, Brooklyn
$30 · tickets: https://www.bps.community/event-details/conscious-cannabisCannabis education talks endlessly about set and setting. It says almost nothing about the third thing that shapes an experience: skill.
Most guidance stops at dose and product. Far less attention goes to the quality of the relationship itself — whether we meet cannabis through habit, avoidance, and dependence, or through respect, discernment, and reciprocity. That relationship isn't fixed. It can be practiced.
This pilot group draws on relationship psychology, harm reduction, sacred plant traditions, and contemplative practice to explore what an active alliance with a teacher plant looks like, as against passive consumption.
We'll look at your current connection with cannabis; the signs of healthy and unhealthy patterns; power dynamics, attachment, and the difference between using and partnering; and how ritual, intention, and integration work in ordinary life. The through-line: a healthier relationship with cannabis tends to deepen your relationships with yourself, with others, and with the living world.
This is a Brooklyn Psychedelic Society event, facilitated by Logina Mostafa and Cate Jester. The Psychedelic Yoga Research Collective joins in a supporting role — I'll be leading a somatic awareness practice as part of the evening.
No cannabis is provided or consumed at this event. It is a reflection, sharing, and community group with a healthy dose of humor. It is not psychotherapy, and it does not promote or encourage cannabis use.
A pilot. Participants will be invited to give feedback that shapes where this goes next.1 attendee - $20.00

This workshop introduces Psychedelic Yoga, a collection of practices to cultivate non-ordinary states of consciousness to support healing, spiritual exploration, and creative flow. Each practice in Psychedelic Yoga can be applied to everyday life.
We'll journey through gentle postures that open energetic pathways, breathwork that can shift consciousness as powerfully as any substance, and sound healing with live didgeridoo vibrations that create resonance in the body's energy centers.Drawing from Tibetan Dream Yoga, we'll practice meditations that reveal the dream-like nature of all experience. We'll explore our senses mindfully—savoring grapes as a gateway to presence, and for the adventuresome, experiencing nail boards as a practice in working skillfully with intense feelings.
Everyone is welcome, from beginners wanting a unique and deeply relaxing experience to yoga teachers, therapists, and psychedelic journeyers seeking new methods. The practices are designed to calm the mind and reduce suffering, bringing us closer to our natural state of awareness and joy.
Come learn and practice Psychedelic Yoga with us!

A Rational Psychedelic Ceremony (in-person)
35 Meadow Street, 35 Meadow St, Brooklyn, NY 11206, USA, Brooklyn, NY, USA Rational Psychedelic Ceremony
Stoic philosophy, body-mind practice, and scientific awe and wonder.
No substances. Breath, attention, and reason.
An evening for people whose relationship to meaning requires reason. Many psychedelic healing spaces invoke faith or specific metaphysical claims. Some folks are left out. This evening is built for them. No metaphysical claims, no appeal to faith, no borrowed mysticism. We are evolved animals, and attention can be trained.
Stoic philosophy. The Stoics called it prosoché — a relentless vigilance toward thought and emotion. From it they built the discipline of assent: slow down, watch, withhold judgment, question, and only then act.
Body-mind practice. Emotion lives in the body, so awareness has to go there too. We use asana, pranayama, and meditation across three arcs. Sound and scent are used as stimuli throughout, with a soundscape that begins cluttered and resolves toward simplicity and harmony.
Awe and wonder. Inspired by science and the natural world.
Every participant receives the guide book made for this evening — built to be used again, alone or by groups running their own ceremonies.
At the close you'll write a sentence you'd want said back to you in two weeks. We'll email it to you then.Important notes: This is a yoga and philosophy practice, not therapy or medical treatment, and you take part at your own risk. No substances are involved and we ask that you don't take anything beforehand.
Sunday, October 11, 6:30–8:30 PM. 35 Meadow Street, Unit 303, Brooklyn.
