About us
Questionable plans. Excellent company.
Remember when making friends just… happened?
Professionally Unsupervised is a community for Gen X (and those with Gen X energy) who are looking for genuine friendships, great conversations, and people who are actually willing to make plans.
We’ll check out live music, happy hours, trivia, festivals, brunch, coffee, hikes, comedy shows, sporting events, patios, day trips, and whatever random side quest sounds like fun that week. Some nights we’ll call it early. Others… depends on the band.
This isn’t a dating group. It isn’t a networking group. It’s for people who miss having a circle that texts, “Who’s in?”
House Rules
-
Be kind.
-
Include new people.
-
RSVP honestly.
-
Come curious.
-
Leave with a story.
-
RSVP honestly (The 3-Strike Rule): Life happens, but pulling a last-minute ghost act hurts the group. Canceling with less than 24 hours' notice (or just flat-out not showing up) 3 times in a 6-month period will result in removal from the group.
-
Don’t be creepy / "Make it weird": This is a platonic space to make genuine friends. If you make people uncomfortable, push dating/networking agendas, or overall just "make it weird," you will be removed immediately. No strikes for this one.

Want to host a side quest?
If you have a cool idea you want to check out, you don't need permission. Tell me you want to host, and I’ll add you as an organizer so you can put it on the calendar.
Hosting well just means keeping things low-stress for the attendees. We follow a few simple guidelines to make sure our events run smoothly:
- Cap the headcount: Keep meetups under 15–20 people so everyone can actually talk and venues don't freak out.
- Check the venue rules: Call ahead to see if they require reservations for our group size, or if they have a cap on parties.
- Arrive a bit early: Get there ahead of the start time to claim a spot and be ready to welcome people as they show up.
- Sort the bill up front: Confirm with the venue that they can do separate checks. If they can’t, put cash/Venmo instructions directly in the event description so no one gets stuck with a surprise bill at the end.
- Be easy to find: Give clear directions in the app on where you are sitting or standing. (Bonus points if you take the tiny lava lamp with you!)
- Keep it casual: No pressure to entertain. Just show up, grab a spot, and let the conversation happen.
Help us build the vibe 🙌
This is a collaborative sandbox. After any event, drop a comment to let us know how it went. Loved the spot? Too loud? Let us know so we can plan better ones next time!
Life is too short to keep saying, “We should get together sometime.”
Let’s actually do it.

After Office Hours
Neighborlily, 606 Monroe St, Nashville, TN, USLet’s keep this one easy.
Come by after work, grab a drink, and meet some new people. Stay for 20 minutes or two hours—whatever fits your evening.
Look for the lava lamp to find the group.
Since this group is just getting started, I’d love to hear what kinds of events, places, and experiences you’d actually be excited to attend around Nashville. Whether it’s live music, brunch, coffee, trivia, hidden gems, or something completely different, I’m all ears.
Please note: Neighborlily has a limited food menu, plan accordingly.
