About us
Prince George's Running Club (PGRC) is a running and walking club based in Prince George's County Maryland, near Washington DC. The meetup group and our regular runs are open to club members as well as non-club members. We welcome everyone's participation at our frequent meetups in Prince George's County, regardless of athletic ability, gender, sexualities, and nationality.
*Most of our regular members do not use MeetUp app, so you can expect to meet more people than those who RSVPd here.
For our members, we host various training programs throughout the year to help meet you running goals (check out our website for more detail). And we have social events including potlucks, fun team races, festive celebrations, and an annual cookout for members.
We encourage you to become a club member by registering at http://pgrc.org/membership/. Membership fees are only $20 per year for an individual and $35 for a family, and your membership dues support club activities including maintaining this meetup group. We invite you to join us on runs and join as a member once you fall in love!

Thursdays: Evening easy run
Location: Herbert Wells Ice Rink Meet by the trail head for the Anacostia NE Branch Trail
Time: 6:30 pm
Saturdays: Hills run
Location: Greenbelt National Park; Meet at the Sweetgum Picnic Area
Time: 8:00 am (November-June) // 7:00 am (July-October)
Head to the College Park ParkRun afterwards for a free 5k race every Saturday @ 9:00 am :)
Sundays: Long runs
Location: Greenbelt Mission BBQ; Meet in the parking lot we walk over to the Indian Creek Trailhead together.
Time: 8:00 am (November-June) // 7:00 am (July-October)
Bowie Runs Mon/Tues/Thurs
Location: Starbucks @ 15480 Annapolis Rd, Bowie, MD; Meet in the parking lot for a 3-5 mile run along Annapolis Rd.
Time: 5:30 am

Buddy Attick Summer Fun Run Series
Braden Field Tennis Courts, 11 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, MD, USOnce again PGRC will be partnering with the Greenbelt Recreation Department to host the Buddy Attick Summer Fun Run series. The series is part of Get Active Greenbelt and provides an excellent opportunity for all levels of runners and walkers to exercise in a friendly and welcoming environment throughout the summer months. Races will take place EVERY Thursday @ 7pm (registration 6:30pm-6:45pm) from July 9 - August 13.
The course will take runners and walkers around the scenic and shaded Buddy Attick Park lake path for their choice of either 1.75 miles (1 lap) or 3 miles (2 laps). Meet at Greenbelt Youth Center parking lot (99 Centerway Greenbelt, MD 20770 - behind the library).
You will be assigned a race bib that will be used for the entire series.Weather Cancellation Policy:
Races will be cancelled if there is lightning in the area after 6:30pm. Cancellations will be announced on PGRC's website.Volunteers: We need your help to put on these free races. Volunteer positions include registration, course marshal, water stop, popsicle and ice supplier, set up and cleanup. Sign up to volunteer.
