Hi everyone! Next meetup we’re going deep into some esoteric hardware/software with a one-of-a-kind presentation from Rico that he describes as:

“An introduction to FPGA development for software people. Robert Rico covers what an FPGA actually is, how hardware description languages differ from programming languages, and the open-source toolchain that turns VHDL into a working design. He'll close with a live demo: a full 8-bit CPU from 1972, reimplemented module by module and running on real hardware. No prior hardware experience needed.”

I, for one, am very much looking forward to geeking out on some custom hardware and learning about this bit of retro tech Rico has assembled.
