PIGNETISMI BOOK CLUB – Read, swap & connect
Once a month, we gather in our favorite corner of Rome — Pigneto — to share our love for books, stories, and good conversations.
📖 Each month we choose a book to read together, but we also host a cozy book swapping party: bring a book you’ve loved (or want someone else to discover), wrap it anonymously, and exchange it “in the dark.” A little literary surprise for everyone.
🍸 After that, we get to know each other over an aperitivo in one of the neighborhood’s hidden gems.
Whether you’re a book lover, a curious reader, or just looking to connect in a chill, creative space — this is your invitation.

Hai mai sentito che scrivere ti fa respirare meglio?
Marzo è il mese delle soglie: non è più inverno, non è ancora primavera.
Abbiamo scelto una poesia di Alda Merini perché parla proprio di questo passaggio silenzioso: la trasformazione che accade dentro, anche quando fuori sembra tutto fermo.
Vogliamo partire da lì.
Dalle sue parole.
E dalle tue.## 🌿 Cos’è questo evento (e cosa NON è)
Non è un open mic.
Non è una gara.
Non è una serata dove devi impressionare qualcuno.
È un workshop rilassato di scrittura e ascolto.
Scrivere ci permette di vivere in modo più intenso.
La poesia ci insegna a trasformare le emozioni in arte con le parole.
E non scriveremo necessariamente poesie.
Potrai scrivere ciò che desideri:- un testo
- una lettera
- pensieri sparsi
- frammenti
- una poesia
- qualcosa che non ha ancora un nome
La forma è libera.

- Per chi scrive e vuole farlo con più continuità
- Per chi sente che ha qualcosa da dire ma non trova spazio
- Per chi cerca una community creativa, non competitiva
- Per chi vuole rallentare e sentire davvero le parole
Non serve esperienza.
I posti sono limitati per mantenere l’esperienza intima.## 💌 Cosa portare

Have you ever felt that writing helps you breathe better?
March is a threshold month: it’s no longer winter, but not yet spring.
We chose a poem by Alda Merini because it speaks of this quiet transition — the transformation happening within us, even when everything outside seems still.
We want to start there.
From her words.
And from yours.## 🌿 What This Event Is (and What It’s NOT)
It’s not an open mic.
It’s not a competition.
It’s not a night where you have to impress anyone.
It’s a relaxed writing and listening workshop.
Writing allows us to live more intensely.
Poetry teaches us how to turn emotions into art through words.
And we won’t necessarily write poems.
You are free to write whatever feels true to you:- a short text
- a letter
- scattered thoughts
- fragments
- a poem
- something that doesn’t have a name yet
The form is free.
## 🌙 Who This Is For
- For those who write and want to do it more consistently
- For those who feel they have something to say but can’t find the space
- For those looking for a creative, non-competitive community
- For those who want to slow down and truly feel their words
No experience is required.
Spots are limited to keep the experience intimate.## 💌 What to Bring

Porta un libro (nuovo o usato, come preferisci), incartato, senza titolo visibile.
Scrivi sopra:
– il tuo nome
– qualche frase che racconti l’atmosfera del libro
ATTENZIONE SE NON PORTI IL LIBRO DA SCAMBIARE NON PUOI PRENDERNE UNO DURANTE LO SWAPPING :)

✨ Blind Book Swapping Ritual
Bring a book (new or used, your choice), wrapped with no visible title.
Write on it:
– your name
– a few lines describing the atmosphere of the book⚠️ IMPORTANT: If you don’t bring a book to swap, you won’t be able to take one during the swapping :)

The ticket does NOT include drinks or food.
