The Comedy Couch with the Locals Comedy and Mitch Fowler, Thursday, September 25th!

The Comedy Couch is an Open Mic Experience blending the unpredictably hilarious nature of open mic comedy with interactive pub games, and guest commentary spots, for a night of pure fun you're not soon to forget. Open to new, up-and-comers, and nationally touring feature comics, there is a spot on the couch for everyone.

The Locals Comedy - The Locals Comedy is a company founded in 2022 by comedians, for comedians. Based in Fayetteville North Carolina, The Locals Comedy strives to feature local stand-up comedic talents, both seasoned and up-and-coming. Centered around the idea of community, The Locals Comedy looks to highlight the local businesses and culture. The Locals Comedy will bring the laughs and entertainment to the community, wherever that might be.

Featured Comedian: Mitch Fowler - Fayetteville native, Mitch is a US Air Force Veteran who got his start in comedy on the open mic circuit of Las Vegas, Nevada in 2015. Not afraid to speak his mind, his blend of sharp, witty comedy and side-splitting real-world stories highlights the often-hilarious American lifestyle in the 21st Century. Co-Founder of The Locals Comedy, Mitch strives to bring the laughs to the local community – wherever they may be.

FREE Social Dancing lessons with Rolands Dance Studio on Saturday, September 27th!

For the average person, learning to dance might be a way to avoid making a fool of themselves at a wedding or to get the exercise they’ve been missing. But social dancing is a great way to meet people and find a constructive social outlet. Social dance is a deeply collaborative and culturally rich dance form that is enjoyed in all parts of the world. They are practiced in duets or groups for social purposes – celebrations, ceremonies, parties, exercise, or just for fun. Social dancing is an amazing way to meet new people, pick up a hobby that’s as good for your brain as it is for your body, and improve your partnering skills.

You don’t usually need a partner to attend these dance lessons; because you’re learning how to dance with strangers, Roland and Catherine will rotate partners throughout the lesson so that students can experience different leads and follows. Lessons will focus on lead and follow skills, the unique counting and rhythm for each dance, and basic figures and how to cue them.

So come on out and add social dancing with Salsa to Swing and everything in between to your evening! FREE Dance lessons are 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with Rolands Dance Studio. 18 and up are welcome until 10 p.m. No cover before 9:00 p.m.
