About us
Let's have a discussion of a (usually fiction) book over a glass of wine/ pint/ Ribena once a month. We try to read everything from classics to contemporary - all that matters is that you love books and talking about them! And getting to know new people at the same time...
We will also have a social every month where book chat is not necessary but usually encouraged!
Two notes: Booking pubs for more than 30 is notoriously difficult in Oxford! Events are now capped at 35, but please always note I may only be able to book seats for 25-30 people depending on the pub, so a seat isn't always guaranteed.
I also want to note that there are fees to run meetup groups. Ours is around £180 a year. I'm happy to discuss this with anyone but would really appreciate any donations (literally just a couple of quid) to help support the running of the meetup. There's absolutely no obligation to do so, and I'll continue to pay fees out of my own pocket but it would definitely be appreciated! If you did want to donate, our PayPal is oxfordwineandbooks@gmail.com
