About us

As we age, we may lose connection with prior friendships as a result of many reasons such as relocation, illness, divorce, or perhaps just a change in common interests. This group in the Oxford CT area is for women aged 50+ who are seeking new authentic friendships. Meetings will take place in a community setting, a restaurant, or in each other's homes. I'm always open to ideas for activities. To date, we've done outings such as wine tasting, listening to live music, taking walks on nice evenings, shared book readings and discussion, card games, or open dialogue on topics of concern or interest.

NOTE: Meetup charges me $47.99 per month to use their platform to host these events. Your contribution to these membership fees is appreciated via the Fund Raising section below.

Elm City Party Bike requires payment in advance to hold our private bike tour. If we do not receive 13 PAID reservations by MAY 1ST, we will need to cancel our tour.

Payment: 1) Please venmo Jen $45 upon registration. My venmo address is @Jen-LaBella and the last 4 digits are 0230. There is no cost to use Venmo. 2) Pay me by check. Mail it to me at 205 Wheeler Farm Rd, Watertown, CT, 06795. Please let me know when payment is complete.

Get geared up and ride Connecticut & New England’s first and foremost pedaled party and sightseeing bike! We will be stopping at one bar, recommended by our driver, as well as the famous Pepe's Pizza to pick up pizza-to-go! Price includes bike ride, tour, and driver gratuity. Food and drink are extra/optional. You may also bring your own snacks and drinks. Tickets are non-refundable. (see note above regarding cancellation stipulation.) Bike ride will take place rain (with rain canopy/guards) or shine.

Some other helpful information:
1)-Each participant will need to complete a waiver. I will send waiver to paid participants once we are fully booked.
2)-Only 10 seats have pedals. Two seats do not have pedals and there is a back bench for one person. We can rotate if everyone would like a turn pedaling.
3)-Discounted parking vouchers will be provided.

Please join us for an inspiring Saturday exploring one of the oldest and most renowned university art collections in the world, followed by a seasonal lunch in the heart of the Chapel Street District. We will meet in the main lobby @ 11:50 for a private, conversational tour. Led by a knowledgeable guide, we’ll explore highlights from the museum’s vast collection—ranging from ancient sculptures to modern masterpieces. Museum entry and tour are free.

Note: The Yale University Art Gallery houses over 300,000 objects. While we will focus on key highlights during our hour, the museum remains open until 5:00 PM should you wish to continue exploring after lunch.
