About Us: We are a Social Cycling Group for Adults run by Volunteers.
Our Mission:
To bring people together to have fun and make new friends while safely exploring Metro Vancouver and the surrounding areas. This includes some rides to Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and into Washington State..
Our rides range from urban and suburban to rural, on bike friendly roadways, dykes and trails and, from a few hours to all day. Rides are generally easy to moderate in difficulty and may run from 50 to 90 km.
Our goal is for participants to arrive at the end of a ride happy and satisfied with the outing and their ride leaders.
Code of Conduct:
Our cycling group is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members. We expect all participants to conduct themselves with integrity, kindness, and respect towards others during rides or events run by this group. Members should adhere to all traffic laws, ride safely, and support fellow cyclists, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and valued.
Bullying, harassment, and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, physical intimidation, and any form of discriminatory behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other characteristic. Any member found engaging in such behavior will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion from the group. By participating in our rides, all members agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a positive and supportive cycling community.

This loop ride has 61.5 km paved surface and 2.9 km hard-packed trail with 100 M of elevation gain in the final 5 km. From Edmonds Park, we head west across Burnaby and Vancouver to Angus & W57th Ave where we stop for coffee at Bean Around the World. After coffee we head east and south across the North Arm Bridge Bikeway and the Sea Island Connector onto Sea Island and The Flying Beaver Pub where we stop for lunch. After Lunch we cross the No 2 Rd Bridge, head east to the Queensborough Bridge, and then north thru Burnaby back to Edmonds Park.
Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly.
Distance: 63.5 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5.5 hrs
Bring: snacks//water and Pack a Lunch and eat along the River bank or or buy something at the Flying Beaver.
Meet Up Location: Parking along Humphries south of Elwell St. Use 6926 Humphries St, Burnaby as a GPS Locator.

THE RIDE:

This loop ride of just over 64 km with 46 km on paved surfaces and the balance on gravel and hard-packed trails. There is a total elevation gain of 330 M and the same elevation loss.
From Ther Gillnetter Pub, we head to our first bridge crossing, the Pitt River Bridge. Our first stop will be The Patch Brewing for coffee. After coffee, we head east and north to 232nd Street and The Black Sheep Public House for lunch. Following lunch, we head south toward the Fraser River and our second bridge crossing, The Golden Ears Bridge. After this crossing, it's westward ho toward Surrey via the Golden Ears Greenway and Tynhead Park. Our next bridge crossing is of course the Port Mann Bridge. Then it's back to the Gillnetter and the end of our journey.
Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly.
Distance: 64.2 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5.5 to 6 hrs
Bring: snacks, and water. Remember Lunch is at The Black Sheep Public House.

This ride is on Paved bikeways and trails. From our start point we head west across Burnaby and Vancouver to Purebread Bakery for coffee. Next, along the north side of False Creek, through Stanley Park and over the Lions Gate Bridge into West Vancouver where we head east along the Spirit Trail to Lonsdale Quay and The Shipyard where we stop for lunch. After lunch we head west back to the Lions Gate Bridge, then south thru Stanley Park and along English Bay to cross the Burrard Street Bridge. We continue south along the Arbutus Greenway then east along 37th Ave and BC Parkway to Smith Ave. and Inman Ave to Deer Lake Parkway and Back to Burnaby Lake.
Difficulty: Moderate/hard if you have been biking regularly.
Distance: 67.5 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5.5 hrs

This is a modified circle route with 34.7 km on paved and 26.1 km on hard-packed trails. From our start point, we head east across Pitt Meadows to Maple Ridge then north along 216 St. to the North Alouette River Trail and onto Neaves Rd. We continue north on Neaves to Rannie Rd. and onto the Pitt Lake Dike where we stop for lunch, Our return takes us back south along Rannie and Neaves, west on McNeil Rd. and north on Harris Road to the Pitt River Dyke which we follow back to Bonson Road and our start point.
Difficulty: Moderate for distance, very little elevation gain.
Distance: 60.4 km.
Expected Duration: 5 - 5.5 hr
Bring: snacks/water and PACK A LUNCH. We will stop for lunch at Pitt Lake. There are no food facilities at the lake.
