Welcome former theatre kids!

Let's read plays aloud on Zoom together (scripts will be displayed so you can read along). New play ideas are always welcome - just no musicals, as not all of us can sing!

Character sign-ups are first come, first serve. Choose your favorite - age, gender, etc. do not matter!

And if you want to dive deeply into the character, costumes and makeup are more than welcome!

I have brought this play forward because of the political climate in the United States right now. Although this play is based in Calais and the politics are British, I've heard the same stories from my adult ESL students time and time again.

Okot wants nothing more than to get to the UK. Beth wants nothing more than to help him. Join the hopeful, resilient residents of ‘The Jungle’, the refugees and volunteers from around the globe who gather at the Afghan Café. They’re just across the Channel, right on our doorstep.
