Welcome! This meetup will focus on the foundations of mindfulness for those interested in exploring and practicing mindfulness and understand what mindfulness can mean for you. Mindfulness has been shown to have so many benefits including stress reduction, less rumination, decreased anxiety and healthier relationships and satisfaction in life. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and will practice mindfulness skills including awareness, guided meditation and breath. Whether you are new to mindfulness or have your own practice you can connect with others who share in a common interest. To be mindful is to be truly alive and present and aware. Many are overwhelmed with the uncertainties and pain in the world today- struggling with difficult emotions such as fear, worry, anxiety, depression and more. When we are mindful, we are more clear-headed, less reactive and able to bring our best selves to those we love. Mindfulness helps us bring kindness and compassion to those around us and empower us as leaders for real change. I hope you will join!
