About us
A group for outdoor lovers seeking exploration and connection with like-minded people. We will mainly be hiking in and around the east midlands and peaks with other fun outdoor activities sprinkled between (these will likely be from spring onwards). Join us for hikes, kayaking, paddleboarding, biking, wild swimming, yoga, camping, weekend exploration amongst many more activities.
We understand that it can be difficult meeting people, and even harder finding people who want to explore. That's why we have created this group, to gather you up and get out there and have fun together!
We will organise socials for us to get to know each other better, both before and after hikes, and for you to gauge if you would like to join us. We know these things can be intimidating, but we are friendly and all looking for the same thing, so come on over.

Relaxed Social Run at Wollaton Park - Parkrun Route

Meeting time: 17:45
Meeting point: In front of Wollaton Hall (Wollaton Castle) - https://maps.app.goo.gl/C5g92gno5Q7ymt72AWe will be meeting at 17:45 and waiting for a maximum of 15 minutes for any attendees who are not yet there and have not already messaged us. At 18:00 we will leave the meeting point and will no longer wait for any new arrivals, so please aim to be there by 17:45 where possible.
We will aim to do around 5 minutes of warm-up before the run and 5 minutes of cool-down afterwards. If you choose to finish the run earlier or leave before the group cool-down, please make sure you do your own cool-down/stretching as needed, as you are responsible for looking after yourself and reducing your own risk of injury.
Please wear suitable running shoes and clothing for the weather. As this is a running event, we advise all attendees to bring water with them.
Join us for a relaxed evening run around Wollaton Park, following the Wollaton parkrun route.
This is a good chance for anyone who has never run the route before to get familiar with it in a relaxed, friendly setting.
There will be no set pace for this run. The aim is to keep it steady and comfortable for the people who attend, making sure everyone can keep up. This will not be a rushed run, and the focus is not speed or competition.
You are welcome to slow down, walk if needed, or take the run at your own comfortable effort. The idea is simply to get out, enjoy the park, and run together as a friendly group.

Three Monuments Circular
Chatsworth House, Chatsworth, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1PP, GBLength: 8 Miles
Total Elevation: 450m
Difficulty: Easy-ModerateStarting from Chatsworth House (paid parking), this walk leads through the estate’s beautiful parkland and woodland to the historic Cascade and Chatsworth Aqueduct. As we climb through Stand Wood, we'll enjoy excellent views back across Chatsworth House and the surrounding Peak District countryside before passing Emperor Lake and the Hunting Tower.
The route then follows Chatsworth Edge and Birchen Edge, offering some great views of the Derwent Valley. Highlights include the Three Ships rock formations, named after Lord Nelson’s fleet, and Nelson’s Monument, which stands high above the valley.
After reaching the trig point, descend towards Wellington’s Monument and continue along tracks with views of Gardom’s Edge. We may take an optional detour to Eagle Stone, a famous gritstone outcrop linked to local folklore, before the route returns through Baslow and back into Chatsworth Park.

Please note: walks can be quite boggy (especially this time of year). Please bring suitable footwear and clothing.
We really encourage carpooling so that we can keep car numbers down both for the environment and the carparks. It's also a great way to get to know some people.Please make sure to bring:
• Sturdy, waterproof walking boots. It can get very muddy and slippy on these walks
•Waterproof clothing, it is England after all
•Warm/cold weather layers. Prepare for all weather
•Enough water for the duration of the walk
•Lunch and snacks as needed. There won't often be places to buy things en routeEtiquette - If you can no longer attend the event, please remember to cancel yours and / or your guests rsvp as we often have people on the waiting list and it means we won't wait around for you either
