About us
This meetup is a friendly space for anyone interested in building resilience through Stoic wisdom and other helpful philosophical traditions. We meet for rational, respectful conversation focused on practical tools for living well—calming the mind, strengthening character, and applying ideas directly to everyday life. Open to beginners and longtime practitioners alike, and enriched by insights from Stoicism, CBT/REBT, mindfulness, and any approach that helps us live with clarity and courage. We look to Stoic virtues and wisdom the way ancient navigators used Polaris- the North Star - as steady, reliable guides that help us steer through life’s shifting winds. We welcome wisdom wherever it appears—across time, culture, and creed—if it leads toward understanding, self-command, and goodwill.

Hitting the Mark: Lessons from Aristotle, part 2
·OnlineOnlineStoicism was known for integrating insights from a wide range of philosophical traditions. In this meeting, we’ll continue our discussion of one of the most influential philosophers in history: Aristotle.
Our discussion will draw primarily from the book Beyond Stoicism, though no outside reading is required. Key ideas and selected passages will be presented to spark reflection and conversation.
All are welcome—whether you’re new to philosophy or have been studying it for years. We meet on Zoom, and the link will be posted prior to the meeting.
Beyond Stoicism- by Massimo Pigliucci, Gregory Lopez, and Meredith Alexander Kunz- is available in multiple formats through Amazon.
