Vegan Dining + Hiking - Mercer County
Lady and the Shallot, 100 Campus Town Circle Suite #103, Ewing, NJ, USThe 133rd in NJveg’s hiking/walking + vegan dining series will start with a late lunch at vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free restaurant Lady and the Shallot (100 Campus Town Circle Suite #103, Ewing, NJ 08618). Afterward, we’ll have an easy hike at Mercer Meadows (info) in Lawrence Township - meet at the Blackwell Rd parking lot (GPS coordinates 40.3255, -74.7528). Inclement weather date Friday September 18. Please review NJveg’s restaurant trip guidelines.

Volunteer Work Day at Elephant Shoes Animal Rescue - Gloucester County
Elephant Shoes Animal Rescue, 161 Piney Ln, Newfield, NJ, USJoin NJveg for a volunteer work day! We’ll be helping the nonprofit Elephant Shoes Animal Rescue. A vegan lunch will be provided at 2pm. We highly recommend bringing a water bottle, bug spray, sunblock, work gloves, work boots, and clothes that can get dirty. If you’d like to donate, you can do so at the sanctuary or online.
Age 12 and up. Please sign up only if you are serious about attending and plan to attend for the full time. If anything comes up and you need to cancel, let us know ASAP, so that we may fill your spot. We’ve had a problem with last minute cancellations – don’t be that person!

Educational Outreach at Mt Holly SDA Church Health Fair – Burlington County
Mount Holly Seventh Day Adventist Church, 700 Monmouth Rd, Mount Holly, NJ, USNJveg was invited to have a table at the Mount Holly Seventh Day Adventist Church’s Health Fair in Mount Holly. We’ll answer questions and provide free literature on the benefits of a plant-based life. Help spread the word that going vegan saves animals, protects the environment, and improves your health!

Educational Outreach at Hopewell Harvest Fest – Mercer County
Hopewell Elementary School, Hopewell, NJ, Hopewell, NJ, USNJveg will answer questions and provide free literature on the benefits of a plant-based life. Come out for an hour, or the entire event. Help spread the word that going vegan saves animals, protects the environment, and improves your health! No experience is necessary. We particularly need help setting up (around 8:30am) and packing up (to about 4:30pm). Please let us know what times you are available.
