Fort Sumter
Event Info: Liberty Square, Next to SC Aquarium, Charleston, SC, USAre there any members interested in seeing where the Civil War began. If yes, please join me March 21st in Charleston SC to take the 9:30am tour to the fort. The tour is a 2.25-Hour Historic Cruise from Liberty Square (downtown Charleston). It is fully guided National Park Service–authorized tour to the site where the Civil War began. It includes a 30-minute narrated cruise across Charleston Harbor, followed by time to explore Fort Sumter’s powerful history and preserved grounds. When we return we will have lunch in downtown Charleston with the rest of the day flexible.
Tickets are $43 and there are discounts for military and seniors ($39). The tickets are refundable if cancelled at least 2 hours before the cruise (but fees are not refunded). Get your tickets here:

Carson Springs Wildlife Sanctuary
Carson Springs Wildlife Conservation, 8528 E County Rd 225,, Gainesville, FL, USTwice a year Carson Springs Wildlife Sanctuary has an open house. It is a great way to see their animals without paying too much money. The tickets are $15 per person plus a $1 fee for booking on-line. I am not sure if there are limited tickets for that day but it does get crowded. I would suggest ordering soon to be sure they have a ticket for you. You can cancel 24 hours ahead of time if you are worried about the weather.
I have not been there since before the pandemic. Not sure if much has changed but I will suggest that we meet near the small building that they use to sell souvenirs. Check the comments on that day in case I need to change that meeting place.
