Looking to enjoy the great outdoors, get some fresh air, and connect with others in the community? Join the Morris County Hiking Group — a welcoming, family-friendly group led by members of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown and open to everyone!
Our hikes are designed for all experience levels, especially beginners. Each hike is easy-paced, lasts about 90 minutes, and takes place on scenic trails throughout Morris County. Whether you’re new to hiking, bringing the kids along, or just looking for a relaxed outdoor activity (we have a resident bird guru to let you know what is hear!), you’ll find a place here.
Come walk with us, explore local nature, and build friendships along the way. We’d love to have you join us on the trail!
All hikes are carried out at your own risk. Hiking can involve physical hazards and unpredictable environmental factors. By choosing to participate, you assume all responsibility for your own safety, health, and actions.

Historic Morristown Walking Tour
The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, 57 East Park Place, Morristown, NJ, USCelebrate our nation's 250th anniversary with a guided walking tour of Historic Morristown. This 1.5/2 hour tour will start on the Morristown Green then continue through the beautiful neighborhoods nearby, telling the story of Morristown from its founding in the early 1700s and its critical role during the American Revolution, through its prominence as a Gilded Age retreat for many of the most influential families in America.
This tour is a new offering for Summer 2026 and is free to anyone who signs up through the Morris County Hiking Meetup Group! (Limit 20 per tour).
