About us
This is a group that will do a different variety of hikes at a moderate to relaxed pace. Hike difficulty will be listed in each hike description. Most hikes will be on uneven terrain. Occasionally we will do other activities, casual bicycling, snow shoeing, urban hikes, etc. You must be capable of keeping up with the group and as a guideline, be able to climb Atalaya, and Sun Mountain. The goal is to enjoy the journey, get out into nature and breath deeply the fresh air. Fitness will be a by product. Friendly, well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome on most of my hikes where allowed. "It's better to wear out, then rust out". Please join me in exploring this beautiful state! Assistant leaders welcome and encouraged.
Also, If you want more challenging hikes, join our sister organization at (heylo.group/southwest-explorers-league). If you'd like more info about this group and their hikes on the Heylo app please contact Mark Dunham, one of our members and leader of SWEL.
