About us
History Trails, Murder Mysteries, Treasure Hunts, Meals Out, Dancing, and Great Fun!
Welcome to Mini Adventures & Trails for The Young at Heart, a friendly and inclusive group where we bring people together through shared activities. We organise a wide variety of events to inspire, connect, and uplift. Whether it’s solving Murder Mystery History Trails, enjoying scenic walks, hunting for clues on Treasure Hunts, dining out, dancing, camping, or exploring fascinating places of interest such as historic sites and local landmarks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Our group is centred around improving mental health and well-being. We understand the importance of feeling connected and supported, and we’re committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone is made to feel valued. We proudly support the mental health charity Mind, with donations from our events helping to fund their vital work.
It’s completely free to join us! Some events may ask for small, voluntary contributions to help cover costs like materials or planning, with any surplus funds going directly to Mind to support their cause.
This is more than just a social group—it’s a community where you can make new friends, enjoy meaningful experiences, and improve your well-being while having fun. Together, we’ll create unforgettable memories, build genuine connections, and celebrate the joy of being part of something special.
Join Mini Adventures & Trails for The Young at Heart today, and discover a world of friendship, laughter, and adventure. Everyone is welcome—we can’t wait to meet you!

Join us for an evening walk around Knaresborough as we explore the stories behind the town’s pubs, past and present. This is more trail than ale, offering a chance to discover the hidden histories and curious tales linked to some of Knaresborough’s best-known watering holes.
The walk will be led by Gerry, who regularly runs history tours and has a real passion for sharing the town’s past. You’ll hear all sorts of intriguing details as we make our way through the town centre on well-maintained footpaths.
The trail will take roughly an hour and is **£3 per person through ticketsource **to cover admin costs, with any additional funds being donated to The Dogs Trust – Gerry’s chosen charity. Sadly, this walk isn’t suitable for dogs, but we hope they can join us on another occasion.
We’ll finish the walk at one of the local pubs, where you’re welcome to join us for a drink afterwards if you’d like – totally optional, of course.
