About us
Are you a maker in the Milford, CT area? Do you knit, crochet, needlepoint or indulge in any other portable craft? If so, come make with us!
This is a group for local makers, fiber artists, and crafters to gather and work on our projects (BYO materials) over a good cup of coffee (or tea), with a side of great conversation. Come share what you are working on, learn from others, or just enjoy the company of fellow makers.
This is a welcoming and inclusive group for makers of all types and skill levels. We meet up at various locations in the greater Milford, Connecticut area (times and dates to be announced). All we ask is that you make at least a small purchase from the local business kind enough to host us!

Knit for Food Knit-a-Thon 2026
In-Person Event Details, TBD, Milford, CT, USMilford Makers: Join Our Knit-a-Thon Team!
Calling all Milford Makers! It’s time to put our needles, hooks, and hands to work for a great cause. We are officially forming a team for the 2026 Knit for Food Knit-a-Thon on April 11th, and we want you to be a part of it.
Knit for Food is a 12-hour global crafting marathon that raises funds for organizations working to end food insecurity, including Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels. While "Knit" is in the name, this event is open to crafters of all types. Whether you crochet, spin, weave, embroider, or craft in any other way, your participation makes a massive difference.
How to Participate
- Join the Team: Register and join the "Milford Makers" team on our official Knit for Food fundraising page: https://givebutter.com/knitforfood26/milford-makers
- Fundraise: Share your personal fundraising page with friends and family. Every dollar raised goes directly to providing meals for those in need.
- Craft on April 11th: Commit to crafting as much as you can throughout the day!
In-Person Meetup
In addition to the global virtual event, we will be hosting an in-person crafting session on the day of the Knit-a-Thon (April 11th). We are still finalizing the exact time and location, so stay tuned for those details! It will be a wonderful way to log some hours together, share snacks, and cheer each other on.Ready to craft for a cause?
