On March 2018, Adriano da Silva became President along with Marcos Germano and Theo Vaca as Board Members of the Microsoft Business Intelligence User Group of South Florida. Together, we are expanding the group's scope beyond its original roots in Business Intelligence to include new technologies. The group was founded on August of 2012 by Luis Figueroa and on September of 2014, David Ortiz took over as President and has continued to drive the vision of the group.
The objective of the group is to facilitate a forum for technology professionals in the South Florida area to network, share experiences and learn from industry experts and peers about the Microsoft and other technologies. The group is also focused on helping local professionals to grow and to become more involved with the SQL Server and technology community. In addition to this, the group will allocate a space for its interested members whom are new to public speaking to do short presentations during the first part of the meeting.
