A few quick housekeeping items to keep things running smoothly:
RSVP Expectations/No-Shows
We understand that things come up and plans can change. If you need to cancel, update your RSVP as soon as possible.
- If you say you’re going, please show up.
- Accurate headcounts matter! Venues often require reservations based on how many people are coming.
Repeated no-shows without communication make it difficult to plan for the group, so if this happens three times in a row, you may be removed from the group.
For Prepaid Events
- An RSVP does not mean you have a ticket, it just means you’re interested.
- You still need to follow the event instructions and purchase your ticket separately.
- NOTE: If you bought a ticket but can’t go, just let the organizer know. Someone else may want to buy it.
Liability & Safety
- You are responsible for your own safety at all events.
- Outdoor and group activities can involve risks.
- By attending, you agree:
- You’re participating voluntarily.
- You accept all risks (injury, illness, property damage, etc.).
- The organizers are not liable for anything that happens.
- Organizers are volunteers, not certified professionals.
If these guidelines don’t feel like the right fit, this group may not be the best match for you.

Edgewater Neighborhood 60-Minute Stroll Tour
Upper Edgewater Drive, Cleveland, OH, USThis event is part of the free summer series from "Take a Hike" walking tours of Cleveland's historic and landmark neighborhoods. Registration began at noon today (June 1st) and it will fill up quickly so make sure to register ASAP at https://www.takeahikecle.com/edgewater
(Don't worry if it says "Clark Fulton Tour" when you go register, as it is the "Upper Edgewater Tour.")This description is taken directly from their website:
Explore Cleveland’s Edgewater neighborhood, where the city’s relationship with Lake Erie has been evolving for more than 150 years. The early story of this area begins along a very different shoreline, where in the late 19th century, grand estates and mansions stretched from Lake Avenue to the water’s edge—offering uninterrupted lake views and establishing Edgewater as an enclave of wealth and retreat.
Hear the story of Jacob B. Perkins, a local industrialist and horse breeder, who sold his lakefront land to Cleveland’s Second Park Board in 1894—paving the way for the development of Edgewater Park and the adjacent beach.
Today, Edgewater blends historic charm with accessible waterfront, where the legacy of lakefront estates and Perkins Beach lives on in one of Cleveland’s most beloved public spaces—and a shoreline still shaped by time and change.9 attendees
