A Vision for the Future - Intentional Living Circle
·OnlineOnlineWhat do you want your life to look like in the coming years? Explore the life you want and what you can begin doing now to move toward the life you envision.
Description: What do you want your life to look like in the future? Where do you want to be, what do you want to be doing, what matters most to you?
In this Intentional Living Circle, you’ll create space to imagine the future you want and explore what it might take to move toward it. You’ll step back and consider the bigger picture of the life you want to create. What are you drawn toward? What possibilities do you see for yourself? What would make your life feel meaningful and fulfilling?
From there, we’ll turn our attention to the present. What choices, changes, or actions could begin moving you in that direction? What can you do now, even in small ways, to start creating the future you envision?
Facilitator: Sophia Carmien is an Enneagram teacher and guide who helps people reconnect with their deeper selves by bringing awareness to inner patterns and expanding what’s possible. After experiencing a profound transformation through her own work with the Enneagram, she now shares this tool of ancient wisdom with others. Through teaching, workshops, and one-on-one work, she supports the shift from habitual reactivity to a life of freedom and empowered authenticity. Connect at www.essentialwholeness.life.

A Connecting You with Your Self Event## This week nothing went to plan.
I rarely have a plan anymore, or maybe a very loose one. But even to my surprise, I actually had a plan—a plan that was refined, extra communicated, followed up on... and the only thing left was execution.
Except, on the morning of execution, the first domino didn't actually execute.Which caused a complete whirlwind of all kinds of things that didn't actually go according to my carefully laid-out plan. Does this frustration feel familiar?
It's not just anger. The investment of all that forethought and preparation can feel wasted in one short moment. So grief is also very present in such instances. And then there's the movement that follows.
The urge to regain control. To reorganize, correct, intervene, make sure the next domino falls where it's supposed to. Sometimes there's a genuine need to do all those things. But I'm curious about something else.
When things don't go according to my plan, what exactly am I trying to restore? The plan itself? The outcome I was expecting? The time and energy I've invested? Or perhaps my own sense of stability in the middle of it all?
There's a difference between having the capacity to organize something and needing that organization to remain intact in order for me to feel okay. And that difference can become remarkably difficult to recognize when everything starts falling apart, and the soup of emotions is running through your system.
This is where self-awareness practices actually become useful—if we bring them out of our curated, high-vibe spiritual spaces and into messy life. But there's one more thing: having self-awareness and being capable of using that self-awareness can be two very different things. Becoming aware of the distance between two is information about the Self that's immensely valuable and useful. It brings us to:
When everything starts falling apart, how much of my awareness is actually available to me?We practice these capacities through LOCATE and REMAIN and their integration happens in our own time, through our own experiences. I'm making these programs self-guided. There's a structure to work with, but no expectation that your integration should follow a particular timeline. You can return to the practices as often as you need, at your own pace, while life gives you plenty of opportunities to discover what's becoming available. Find them at Beyond Orion.
This week I'm exploring DIFFERENCE - the 3rd capacity - at the Alignment Practice on Thursday. Link below.
Have a beautiful week. And may your dominoes cooperate a little better than mine did. :)5 attendees
Three Essential Forces in a Well-Lived Life
·OnlineOnlineThis is a fee-based event, offered by Sophia Carmien. CYWY is sharing this opportunity for you.
What helps us feel grounded and supported? What creates a sense of belonging and connection? What brings passion, vitality, and aliveness to our lives?
The instincts are among the most powerful and least understood dimensions of the Enneagram. In this experiential workshop, we'll explore the three instincts as fundamental forces that are active in every person. The self-preservation instinct supports well-being, sustainability, and our relationship with resources. The social instinct supports connection, belonging, participation, and contribution. The passion instinct supports energetic attraction, intimacy, intensity, creation, and aliveness.
Together, we will:
- Explore how these instincts show up in everyday life
- Learn to recognize them through embodied experience
- Examine the ways they influence our life
- Choose new ways to engage with them
Along the way, we'll clarify common misconceptions and develop a richer, more nuanced understanding of what the instincts are and how they operate.
Rather than focusing solely on identifying a dominant instinct or subtype, this workshop invites you to explore your relationship with all three instincts and consider how to engage with each for a more balanced, meaningful, and fully-lived life.
Whether you're new to the Enneagram or have studied it for years, you'll gain practical insight into the instincts and discover ways to work with them more consciously in support of personal growth, spiritual development, and the expression of your soul's unique purpose.
Cost: This is a paid workshop. Registration fee is $65.
