About us

Welcome to the Maui Astronomy and Astrophotography Meetup group!

Beginners, amateurs, enthusiasts, semi-pros, and professionals are welcome to join this group. If you live on Maui and own a telescope (or are thinking about getting one) you have found the right group. This group focuses on astrophotography and is a forum to share ideas, equipment setups, and explore dark skies on the island. Meet new people, visit new locations, share photos and knowledge, and discuss equipment, software, editing workflow, and other astrophotography topics.

NOTE: Please remember that scheduled sky viewing events are subject to the weather here in Hawaii. Check before departing to ensure that the event is still going to occur!
