Evolve is all about creating an Authentic Community, Deeper Connections, and Confident Growth. We are a group of entrepreneurial women who connect personally and professionally. We welcome every guest to experience our authentic community with no cliques and no judgment. Come as you are! There's a seat waiting for you. Elevate is an action-oriented connection experience designed to help women entrepreneurs move beyond surface-level networking and into meaningful growth, collaboration, and courageous action. Each session centers around a focused business or personal development topic, followed by intentional breakout discussions that encourage deeper conversations, real relationship-building, and practical next steps. Unlike traditional networking events, Elevate is designed to create momentum. Women are encouraged not only to share ideas, but to actively support one another through accountability, collaboration, brainstorming, and action-based growth. Every meeting is an opportunity to build authentic connections, gain fresh perspective, and leave with a clear action step to implement before the next session. This is a space where women rise together — not through competition or hustle culture, but through encouragement, courage, consistency, and intentional community. \*\*Evolve Women's Collective is a membership based professional women's group. From Evolve Women's Collective: Central Ohio

Evolve isn’t about collecting business cards, perfecting your elevator pitch, or walking into a room feeling like you have to impress everyone. It’s about **community, connection, and growth—together.** Evolve Elite brings women entrepreneurs together for meaningful conversations, authentic relationships, collaborative problem-solving, and the kind of support that helps you move forward in both business and life. ### What to Expect **A Warm Welcome** You won’t be left standing alone wondering who to talk to. Our Welcome Team will help you get connected and feel part of the community from the moment you arrive. **Real Introductions** Tell us who you are, what you do, and what you're working toward. You don’t need the perfect pitch—just be you. **A Member Spotlight** Get to know one of the women in our community beyond what she does for a living. You’ll hear a little of her journey, what she’s learned along the way, and something practical that may help you on yours. **Meaningful Small-Group Conversations** This is where Evolve comes alive. Through guided breakout conversations, we’ll explore topics around business growth, leadership, confidence, connection, and personal development. You’ll have an opportunity to share your experiences, learn from other women, and work through real challenges together. **Women Helping Women** Every meeting includes an opportunity to ask: **“How can we help?”** Need an introduction? A resource? Feedback on an idea? A referral? An accountability partner? Share what would help you move forward and give others the opportunity to support you. **A Next Step** We don't want you to leave with pages of notes you'll never look at again. Our goal is for you to leave with a meaningful connection, a new perspective, a helpful resource, or a tangible next step you can actually use. ### You Belong in the Conversation You don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. Bring your questions. Bring your ideas. Bring your challenges. Bring your experience. **Come as you are—and be part of a community of women who confidently lead, courageously grow, and build thriving businesses and meaningful lives together.** Guests are always welcome. We’d love to meet you! For more information, contact Mentor Director Anne-Claire Van Aken at anneclaire.evolve@gmail.com.

What Are the Odds? Forecasting Without Estimates

What Are the Odds? Forecasting Without Estimates

Wed, Aug 26, 10:00 PM
From Columbus Business Agility
4.8

**Columbus Business Agility is back!** ([Please give us some feedback](https://tally.so/r/yPbLag) \- what would you like this meetup to be?\) Five years is a long time between meetups. We're picking it back up on **Wednesday, August 26**, and I wanted the first one back to be worth it, so I asked a friend whose work is perfectly relevant and also fascinating. Her talk is more than just your average AI + Agile story. **What Are the Odds? Forecasting Without Estimates** Every executive asks when it'll be done. Most teams answer with a date somebody made up. But your team's board has a better answer sitting in it already. Start with what you can use right away: the throughput your team already produces, translated into the odds you will finish by a given date. No time spent estimating. No points. You can do this by hand, on a whiteboard, with the last few months of finished work. That answer is honest, and it beats the one you're giving now. But a whiteboard is a one-off. It's stale by the next planning conversation, and it's only ever about your team. Leadership wants to know about the whole department. Keeping the answer current is a hard problem, and it's where AI earns its keep. At a trucking insurance company I directed autonomous agents to build what leadership ended up steering by: team views, then the portfolio rollup on top. That was six months of work. Parts of it moved startlingly fast, like restructuring how the company tracked its work, which took an afternoon. The slow parts were the human ones. Agreeing where work actually starts. Getting finish data anyone trusted. Teaching leaders to ask what would move the odds instead of asking for a date. I'll show how the system worked, what came out of it, and the snags we found on the way. Come if you've ever been asked for a date and had no honest way to give it. **About Liz** Liz Rettig is a professional Kanban trainer and the owner of Lil Agile Monster, where she helps teams and portfolios deliver more predictably, and often faster, built on battle-tested Kanban, flow metrics, and forecasting. With or without AI in the mix. **Agenda** 6:00 Arrive. Mingle. Maybe grab a drink and chill. 6:30 Liz's presentation and discussion about forecasting and AI 7:30 (or earlier) more time to connect and discuss **Sponsored By**: ReadySetAgile.com - big thank you for our partnership with John Riley Hope to see you later this month! Frequently asked questions

Meetup entrepreneur groups are communities where individuals with business interests gather to share ideas, knowledge, and networking opportunities. Whether you're just starting or looking to expand, these groups offer a platform to connect with like-minded individuals, especially catering to age-specific interests such as for those over 60.

Joining a group tailored for entrepreneurs over 60 allows you to meet peers who understand unique challenges and opportunities in this stage of life. It's a space to exchange experiences, reignite passions, and perhaps even pivot into new entrepreneurial endeavors with supportive companionship.

Finding local entrepreneur events is simple on Meetup. You can search by your interest in entrepreneurship and filter events by location to discover what's happening nearby. Some events might focus specifically on age groups such as entrepreneurs over 60.

Yes, you can find online events about entrepreneurship on Meetup. Simply search for topics of interest, and you'll find a mix of virtual meetings and webinars. This flexibility allows you to learn and network from the comfort of your own home.

No, these groups are open to aspiring and experienced entrepreneurs alike. Whether you're starting a new venture or maintaining an existing one, you can find support and resources to suit your experience level, especially tailored to people over 60.

To RSVP for an event, log into your Meetup account, find the event you're interested in, and click the RSVP button. This lets the organizer know you'll attend, and you'll receive notifications about any event updates.

While joining Meetup itself is free, some groups or events may charge a participation fee to cover costs like venue rental or speakers. These fees vary and are typically listed on the event’s page.

Activities in entrepreneur groups might include workshops, networking meetings, seminars, or mastermind sessions. The exact nature of the activities will vary by group and organizer, and can include both in-person and online formats.

Meetup focuses primarily on group activities rather than one-on-one connections. Through events and group interactions, you may organically form individual connections, but the platform itself isn’t designed specifically for one-on-one networking.

Yes, if you feel there's an unserved niche or you have a vision for a specific focus, you're welcome to start a new group on Meetup. The platform provides tools to help you organize events and gather interested participants.

Different groups have different focuses, and you can often find or start one tailored to a specific industry or sector you're interested in. This might include technology, retail, consulting, or other industries relevant to entrepreneurs over 60.

There's no guarantee you'll find the perfect group immediately. It might take some exploration to find the right fit. Try attending a few events to get a feel for different groups, understanding that the diversity of experience varies across regions.

Attendance can vary widely. While some events may be bustling with participants, others might be more intimate. This depends on factors like location, event type, and timing.

Yes, most groups welcome suggestions for event topics that cater to the interests and needs of their members. Feel free to provide your ideas to the group's organizers either at events or through the group's communication channels.

A group organizer on Meetup is responsible for managing group activities, scheduling events, and facilitating discussions. Although Meetup provides the platform, each group operates autonomously under the guidance of its organizer.
