About us
Let's party... without the hangover! This group is for those who want to meet new people/connect with others that are sober-curious, alcohol-free, or for those who just want to hang out without having the social pressure to have a cocktail. Fun, healthy and novel experiences to meet new friends and form new friendships that can grow beyond the group.
We ask that you are alcohol-free during the events (Cali sober is OK!) but you don't have to be living the sober life 24/7; just while we are out!
Outings won't revolve around discussing not drinking, but you can of course share struggles. Outings may also take place at locations where alcohol is served (mocktails anyone?!), but we ask that you do not drink alcohol at those venues.

WHO: This group is made up of all kinds of folks! Those who never liked alcohol, those who can't drink anymore for health reasons, those who only drink occasionally, those who are in recovery, those who are trying to drink less or quit, and those who just want to meet new people and are ok with not drinking for a night! Adults only, please. The best way to meet new friends is to attend regularly!
WHAT: We are the largest sober/sober curious group in LA/OC! We do all kinds of events! Beach outings, alcohol-free happy hours, skating, yoga, tourist attractions, trivia, music, museums and aquariums, bingo, movies and more!
WHERE: Most events are in Long Beach, but occasionally in surrounding areas.
WHEN: Events are for the most part weekly and have between 5 -40 attendees!
*Please note that since many of these events have a limited number of spots, those who no-show to 3 or more events will be removed from the group

Mocktails 🍹 and Trivia 🧠 at Roxanne's Long Beach!
Roxanne's, 1115 E Wardlow Rd, Long Beach, CA, USLet's challenge our knowledge and enjoy some fabulous mocktails at Trivia Night at Roxannes https://www.rox.bar/ Long Beach. Let's meet up between at 6:15 to guarantee a seat, get food and mocktails, and get to know each other. Trivia is open to all, whether you are good or NOT!
I will help us split into a few teams to play. This game requires your phone so have it charged up and ready to go!- If you arrive late, or after 6:30 you may not be paired with a team.
- If you cannot stay the entire time (until 8:45 pm), you CANNOT JOIN A TEAM. You can def watch or have a one person team! But you cannot participate on a team. (It isn't fair to a team if everyone leaves before the end.)
New to trivia or already a quiz whiz? Come enjoy a lively night of friendly competition, laughs, and plenty of “I didn’t know that” moments.
Roxanne's has a small selection of mocktails and AF drinks!
This venue is 21 +
Location: We are not in Roxannes proper, we are in Willies Tin shop which you can access through tiny parking lot.

45 Min Sunrise 🌅 Morning Walk 🏃♂️🏃♀️ at the Beach 🌊
Galaxy Towers, 2999 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA, USLet's make friendships with fitness! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️This will be a walk at a good pace, but not a "speed" walk. I am shooting for about 2.5 miles in 45 minutes. This will be an in and out route so if you only want to do 30 minutes, you can just turn back around earlier. We will do get to know yous for the first 5 minutes (10 if we have a big group) and then we are off, no later than 7:05-7:10, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. And yes , 7 AM!
We will walk on the sand by the water unless the tide has made the sand too soft, then it will be the path, but we will try to do water's edge first.
We will meet on the grass at the corner of Orizaba and Ocean.
There is street parking on Ocean and plenty of street parking in the neighborhood (1st and Orizaba) as well.See ya soon!

Turkish Ice 🍦 Cream on 2nd Street!
Galata Ice Cream, 5201 2nd St., Long Beach, CA, USIf you’ve ever seen those videos of Turkish ice cream where they almost hand you the cone… then pull it back… then hand it to you again… then pull it back again, you already know what this place is about. For this event, we’re heading to Galata Turkish Ice Cream (right off 2nd Street). They’ve got Turkish coffee if you’re feeling a late-night pick-me-up, plus 26 ice cream flavors (including options like matcha and orange).
Their signature is mastic ice cream, which is made with mastic (a natural tree resin) and sugar. I’ve never tried it, but I’m very curious and fully ready to become obsessed.
