About us

Lille Lit et Amis is a friendly, relaxed English-language book club in Lille, open to anyone who enjoys reading and good conversation.

We meet on Thursday evenings, roughly every 6 weeks, chez moi. The focus is on discussion and connection rather than homework — there’s no pressure to finish the book. Expect thoughtful conversation, wine, snacks, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The group is especially suited to expats, internationals, and English speakers in Lille, but everyone is welcome. Each meeting centres around one book, usually contemporary fiction that’s easy to access and discuss.
